Pick / Select a unit / wyldwood

Hi guys, Just re-reading the battletome as I'm bored.

I noticed a lot of spells like Regrowth, Verdant Harmony, Treelords Ancient spell that targets a Wyldwood use the term "select a unit within 18" or "pick a unit within 18" and not target. Do I need LoS to select / pick a unit? I would assume no (I've been playing as if i do) as it does not say target.

I don’t know if there is odd phasing in Sylvaneth spells. But on general if something requires line of sight for casting it will say so on the spell without being vague.
