I was on holiday in the UK just before Second Edition launched so I picked up the original starter set (Stormcast and Bloodbound) for a fair bit cheaper than I can get here. Only just got a chance to bust it open and get painting though.

Been following AoS since launch and have been very excited, just took me a long while to actually get involved.

I'd followed, collected and played 40k for decades, but I'm much more into AOS now. I could never get behind WFB, the blocks of units turned me off. Not only the painting monotony, but also the square blocks. Old armies formed battle lines (except pike squares), and old Warhammer battles seemed to always disintegrate into scattered blocks scampering around, with the sense of army cohesion nowhere to be found, except at setup.
