Aspect of storm vs sea

Deepkin is all about thralls vs eels. Honest I think that eels..... jk

They both have thief merits. As has been said fairly recently the aspect of the sea can pretty easily seem like it's not doing anything. However this is more because it needs to be built around the amount t of rather reliable -1 to hit is rather strong against many armies, and the army where it's not you have multiple dispels. That said I think the aspect of the sea also requires your list to be ionrach allies or not as that +1 to cast is very important, and in some regards multiple tidecaster can come kind of close to duplicating the aspect of the sea.

The storm aspect is an expensive and aggressive melee better who get over shadowed on paper by the king or turtle when you factor out their points. While the eels and thralls in the army do more damage than all of them.

So the aspect of the storm has to bring value. While the king provide reroll 1s to hit and an explosive command ability. The turtle bring a cover aura. The aspect of the storm bring reroll 1s to wound, consistancy, and the biggest single strongest in buffed attack on a single model in the army. This make it so he can tip the scales of fight, and to stand in the middle of the edge where the counter attack surface area to him is lowest, while still being a average about 9 wounds to the table against a 4+ save.

In this regard all the support piece have their own preferred list and compositions and there isn't one spot that they interchange Into or out of.

As said the aspect of the sea wants ionrach and maybe some more tidecasters and endless spells to present a dominating spell front, shrouded in tons of -1 to hit. With some smaller morrsarr or thrall forces to bring the damage.  Steed of tidings an aspect of the sea up the table and having the aspect unleash his spell and geminids is a powerful way to get -2 to hit on multiple units. Or if you throw in a spell portal you can do all of that from across the table.

The aspect of the sea stick into a force with enough models (eels or thralls) to protect his bacon si he can make his point back buffing and putting in 4 to 5 turns worth of attacks in. In a bathing but fuethan army so you can make good use of his reroll 1s.

Also at that I'd say the turtle is also mutually exclusive to the above too as well as you will end up with too many support pieces and not enough punch.
