themortalgod
So with the Curseling's newfound value in AoS 2.0 I certainly want to pick one up. The only problem is I can't stand GW finecast, especially with a thin sword that always ends up looking droopy or broken in short order. I've been pretty stumped with conversion options and/or alternate models. I was wondering if anyone else has been down the same road or has any clever ideas? Totally down to third party figs. thanks so much!!!
kenshin620
If you can find them, the old plastic Forsaken has a helmeted model that looks 100% Tzeentchian and could provide a base for a cursling conversion. Of course they don't sell forsaken anymore so you'll probably have to pay out the nose on ebay or something... Failing that, could just take a normal chaos warrior and stick on a gaunt summoner or lesser daemon to its side. EDIT like this
themortalgod
Damn that forsaken kit is perfect. I looked at some of the other bits and there are some awesome arms that would work great too. Bummer they are so expensive on ebay. Prices are in the $100 range for a box. I have a Slaughterpriest with Hackblade sitting in my bits box, it already has the mace and sword which is basically what a curseling is armed with, size is a bit weird though, he sits on a 40mm while curseling is on a 32mm. Think it would be a big issue?
Plokoone
I made mine out of the Slaughterpriest and I'm happy with how he turned out. I don't expect the 40mm base to be an issue but anyone that has a problem with it most likely isn't going to be fun to play against anyway. I'm happy to post more angles and a list of parts if you're interested.
