Personally I always run Hammers (nothing to do with that as a new player I painted everything in those colours, honest), even without named characters. The +1 Bravery across the board is just too good to pass up and though it doesn't happen often, the expression on your opponents face when you return the 20 sequitors they just spent 3 turns killing is priceless.

The Stormcast from the 1.0 box set were the first Warhammer minis I ever painted, so I went with the hammers of Sigmar gold, and so I tend to run them that way same as you!

I had the pleasure of returning a Liberators unit that had fallen against a Skaven Hell Pit Abomination! They jumped back up and killed that sucker, and it didn't come back!

Haha, maximum irony. Nice one.

I do run Hammers, too, and one of the things i really like is the warlord trait. I intend to run a Lord Arcanum on Dracoline with a proper Kittycator unit. That 6+ shrug is strong on all things Stormcast  (who suffer from mortals). Add a castellant and cycle of the storm, it gets really annoying.

That said, what mount trait to use on a Dracoline? I'm undecided, the 6" pile in allows some shenanigans when picking the order for combats. +1 to hit for claws is great and gets better with CA and empower. "Stomping" a dangerous or very large unit to lessen retaliation seems good, moreso when stacked with thundershock. What to do?

Roast me - I'm mad to take this to a mini-tourney right?

So the list I took was tweaked to:

Allegiance: Stormcast Eternals
Mortal Realm: Aqshy

Leaders
Lord-Celestant On Stardrake (560)
- General
- Celestine Hammer
- Trait: Staunch Defender
- Artefact: Ignax's Scales
- Mount Trait: Keen-clawed
Lord-Castellant (100)
Knight-Incantor (140)
- Spell: Azyrite Halo
Knight-Heraldor (100)
Celestant-Prime (340)

Battleline
5 x Liberators (100)
- Warhammer & Shield
- 1x Grandblades
5 x Liberators (100)
- Warhammer & Shield
- 1x Grandhammers
5 x Liberators (100)
- Warhammer & Shield
- 1x Grandhammers

Units
2 x Tempestors (220)
2 x Fulminators (240)

Total: 2000 / 2000
Extra Command Points: 0
Allies: 0 / 400
Wounds: 90

And it did great. Albeit just in a 14 person tournament.

There's a lot this list can do. However I think I'll tweak it to include some skink screens and objective holders.

If curious ppl should be able to check the tournament here including the lists I met:

https://tabletop.to/krigsluntan-mini

Edit / I note two of my opponents lists weren't uploaded to site.

First opponent was:

10 bks

gutrot

30 pbs

Guo

Rotigus

Etc

3rd was:

Cleansing phalanx

20 sequitors

2*5 evocators

Ballista

Gavriel sureheart

Etc

Oddly enough I was also at a 14 player tournament today and managed to get the win with my stardrake list.

It’s certaibly a win from the perspective of someone short on painting time as well!

What flavour of drake list did you opt for?

Haha that too! Though the drake as a big big model can intimidate some I've heard

I came very close to buying one but was indeed intimidated by the idea of painting/transporting it. Maybe as a treat once I have everything else finished.

Hm I think yours is better than mine against a broader field (and your 3 opponents had harder lists perhaps) than mine - and in more scenarios.

Still, the Prime messes with ppls heads and is quite fun :)

Model count is the weakness! Perhaps I'd drop Fulminators (who always fluff - somehow they do 3 damage with spears only EVER for me) for 20 skinks...

Which would you take if you had to pick just one?

I would take Castellant. He has quite strong 100% success ability. You don't have to cast roll anything to make him useful.

Opposite of the above poster, I'd take the Relictor. I find Stormcast to be a little...slow and the Translocation prayer gives me a way of mitigating that. You can also get quite a lot of milage out of Lightning Storm as well against certain armies, especially ones that haven't moved to the "unmodified 6's" wording (see BlightKings)

The Castellant buff is nice but unless you're aiming for "unkillable" with for example a Stardrake or a massive Sequitor/Cleansing Phalanx list I find that the opponent being able to attack my key unit(s) with anything dangerous means I've done something wrong and they are probably dead with or without his buff.

Personally I'm a fan of the relictors (had two since the beginning of AoS thanks to Ebay).   They've saved the day for me many times.

But that said a catellant is a great choice as well and gives you a gryph hound.

Why not both :)

Are there any viable gavriel-bomb- lists at 1250 points? Or would I be better off with a cleansing phalanx list?

For gavriel bomb

LAoGC 240(or the 180 on foot version, which gives you more spare points)

gavriel 100

sequitor*5 120

sequitor*5 120

evocators*10 400

The list above will be the backbone of your list in my opinion. There are 270 points left. Expanding one sequitor to 10 models, bring a vexillor is some good ways to spend the rest points in my opinion.  Just take care that in this list, you will probably have more drops than your opponent so keeping 50 points left for 1 extra CP to auto pass battleshock might be a good choice.

For cleansing phalanx:

LAoF 180

sequitor*5 120

sequitor*5 120

evocators*5 200

evocators*5 200

cleansing phalanx 120

You need at least 940 points, you still have 310 points left to use. Fewer drops, extra aretifact, extra CP. Might worth it.

Actually, maybe you try to combine both:

LAoF 180

sequitor*5 120

sequitor*5 120

graviel 100

evocators*5 200

evocators*5 200

cleansing phalanx 120

There are 1040 points in total. My suggestion will be bring a knight vexillor(120), a blob of 10 skinks(60) to make your whole list.

It might just be me, but it kinda feels like the idea of a gavriel bomb is bad at 1250 points. In the list where you combine both, would you deepstrike with only Gavriel and 1 unit of evocators? Would that be able to kill anything?

Your cleansing phalanx list at 940 points seems interesting tho, perhaps with a incantor and everblaze comet as well. I'll play around with that list for sure.

Yes, Gav bomb at any points value is strong.

For gavriel bomb, I will just drop all the evocators together. Actually, for the combined list, I would like to bring the vexillor since I don't have extra CP to do reroll failed charges, it happens when you charge 6".

For killing, a unit of 5 evocators can normally kill a 12 wound carnosaur in one turns.
