Have they said whether or not Undivided will be an option?

Well the reveal was "Chaos will stand Undivided once again", so...

I'd say it's pretty much guaranteed that it will be, whether or not it'll be worth it is a different matter.

Did they confirm that? There wasn't anything about endless spells in the reveal, though I wouldn't be at all surprised if they did get some.

They were leaked in a list of releases a while ago. There's no confirmation as of yet, though it bears mentioning that the release list predicted the Slaves to Darkness release well before it was officially announced.

I'm a little nervous that chaos warrior's halberds and great weapons will go by the wayside. The shuttering of more forgeworld stuff has me thinking weapon upgrades won't be supported with the new kit. Great looking new sculpts though

Unless they’re cleaning up the catalog for all new chaos stuff, like weapon upgrades!

Might be included in the kit if we're lucky

Hey quick question,

Chaos Marauders really are on 25mm Bases?

For the new Battletome I'm looking to Rebase mi Gor to be my Marauders.

In the Baselist they state 25mm but I wont believe it^^

Marauders are definitely on 25mm bases, it says so on the base size pdf as well as their store page so if you want to rebase your Gor to be them you're good to go.

This is what I’m going to do too! Look a lot cooler than the current Marauder kit.

Do we know whether the darkoath warchief and queen will be in this tome?

They are on the Slaves tab in the GW store and thus we will assume that they are until otherwise revealed.

What's more likely to be dropped are the various finecast models from the range, since GW is steadily pushing finecast out. I could also see the infantry marauders kit going if just because the new warcry warbands appear to be stepping right into the same position within the army and they look many many times better.

My only issue with the Warcry war bands being used is that if you want more than a box in a unit you have really obvious duplicated dudes for the special weapons and stuff. But they all do look sweet.

Here's to hoping that's true. While I very much like the idea of using my untamed beasts as marauders (although a lack of an unifying "unit-like" visual identity makes me a tad less entousiastic (beastmaster, lion, harpoon guy etc)), I suppose that it diminishes the chances of a marauder remake along the lines of Darkoath (the models that actually got me interested in AoS after a long period of POST-WHFB passive grumbling).

I was honestly surprised that GW didn't release a "darkoath warband" specifically for Warcry. It would seem like a perfect match. However I think the Darkoath might have a shift from being a warband through to being a ruling class of Chaos. More in tune with their Chaos Masters and thus believing in one of the Four; rather than the warbands who might not even realise that they are servants of Chaos itself (remember whilst the Warcry game takes place in the Eightpoints, the majority of those Warbands come from nations well outside of that realm. Untamed Beasts in Ghur might well have no real concept of their worship of Chaos through their own God's persona.

If I remember correctly, during the seminar it was mentioned that the new Lord will be undivided and only be able to be taken in god-specific battletomes (e.g. Diciples of Tzeentch) as an ally.

Hopefully this means Undivided will be an option.

Im hoping they replace the marauder kit with a darkoath style marauders

TBH, with the opportunity of all those magnificent minis in the warcry department, I'd rather get rid of the marauders and play thoose new minis, each unit with special taste. I don't want all chaos armies having the same copy/paste troops like warriors+light infantry, knights + light cavalry. We can here have warriors + comandos units or harassment units, knights + super heavy cavalry (varanguards) etc.. giving this "new" army a specific taste.

I would love Slaves to have some ranged, like archers or spear throwers .

I also like the idea of the Warcry models replacing Marauders, however I hope we don’t have to field a mix and match if each tribe I reckon would look weird especially if painted in different colour schemes

I belive having the Warcry Bands as Marauders would be quite cool as long as there will be a bigger kit with a better cost to model ratio. Such a kit wouldn´t be unpropable as leaks point into this direction

Currently each of thoose is a highly specialised light unit. Ironbreakers have a good save, poison boys have some MW output we really need, Tzeentch guys...yeah, they are weirdos but thats usual for Tzeeentch ;) This allows us to use them for different roles which is quite a nice touch. I hope we get some usefull rules to buff them a bit.

I am really curious what GW will give us. Seeing current design trends and also further possible releases next year after SC and Tome drop makes it actually a really exciting release and I would love some leaks or WarCom articles on them. Longest month waiting for a release since the Necron Codex in 40k for me right now :D

Right? I'm so curious to know how the warbands will be implemented in the book. I want to pick up some Warcry models but I'm hesitant to do so yet.

Who am I kidding, I still want to get them just to paint at the very least! Anything past that is just gravy!

How do we know that Slaughterbrutes are in? Have I missed something?

Yep ;) You missed the Elephant in the room :) Look at this picture:

Do you see it? Well, in general when GW announces a book and shows off some armies, you can concider Units in the Picture to be in the Tome. Last occurence that confirmed this was Gutbusters, with Firebellies beeing shown only in the far background and with no mention until the late previews came :)

Spoiler
