Nothing weird about that, its how it is supposed to work. The battalion is good if you want to fill out your battleline with cheap beastment battleline, benefit from the artifact and command point, and gain access to depravity point efficient units like the doombull or add a bray shaman.

Doombulls aren't to be underestimated at putting out a good amount of dmg.

I didn't realise Gors/Ungors could be taken as battleline in anything aside from BoC allegiance or just good old GA chaos. If getting the mark of Slaanesh is enough to make them legal battleline then this is good news indeed.

The Slaanesh batallion can help large units of Beastmen (re-roll 1s on 10+) or make a fast army faster but still sits in an odd spot.

Also that Harp players ability is GONZO good.  I imagine they will sell a lot of Wrath and Rapture before LVO :P

I'm curious if the +1 Dep Point is a army wide one per turn thing or a one per Infernal Enrapturess.

I'm assuming the former, kind of like how BoC work (you can't have multiple heroes sacrificing on the herdstone). Vs Khorne who can have a bunch of slaughterpriest since theres always the chance the blood sacrifice can fail and takes up their prayer use.

It looks like the Enrapturess has a similar mechanic to the cogs, so we can choose between Discordant Disruption or Harmonic Alignment but can't have both.

Very similar to the blastmaster in 40k -  a special noise marine weapon that can either rapid fire or do a big blast.

Have we confirmed if the infernal enrapturess is a character or new herald we can take multiples?

I'm pretty sure it's a Generic Character.

GW seems to be very much shying away from special characters for the most part outside a few exceptions. If anything they like to use Generic Heroes to have "names" like a good chunk of the Nighthaunt heroes.

The fiends seem really solid. Their damage output is likely still low against infantry, but great at hitting a big gribbly and using the command ability to strike twice. Their resilience is really the best bit though. 4 wounds and if you have 4 or more models -1 to hit and wound is massive. A unit of 9 paired up with a 5 man hellstrider unit will be -2 to hit and -1 to wound meaning they can stick around forever and almost impossible to battleshock off.

Imagine the dreaded 120 skeleton attacks with their ability and spell stacking would normally be 20 wounds on your unit. Instead it would be around 4 wounds. You can attack with your more fragile hard hitting units first and these guys can tank.

Not sure you would want more than 1 though subject to points and abilities that may come with a book release, the shooting is lacklustre (notable only because we have none) and you only need 1 for the 24 inch spell denial. Depends if the +1 depravity point stacks.

The good part with it is the ability to earn depravity points at long range.

New Deamonettes rules. Screenshot from the Twitch stream.

Looks like just a straight buff to the rules. New standard bearer rules look pretty good. Sadistic Killers is  a straight buff from Graceful Killers with now autohitting and Locus of Excruciation is a straight buff from Locus of Beguilment incresing the range from 6" to 9"

Agreed, these are strictly better than before. A unit of 20 before would average 28-29 hits without any external buffs. Now that same unit will average 38 hits, that is a massive increase in output.

Dont underestimate the locus ability on these guys too for survivability. Again paired with Hellstriders for the -1 to hit and having to reroll 6's is a pain for people. The horn is super good against other daemons when they get excited they will gain back D6 models from battleshock and have to reroll...

Also a battalion in the box (matched play ready) that gives bonus attacks within a range of the enrapturess but they didn't elaborate more on that one.

Any hints at what points we're looking at for her and the fiends? Can't watch the stream right now

The whole box is 520 points... Some changes to points but only one they said was something khorne

18 deprevaty with summoning though

They did mention they had to tone them down/change the points for being overpowered during during testing

Battalion might be the most exciting news, even if it is rubbish getting an extra artifact and fewer drops could be really good as long as it doesn't require you to have lots of poor units.
