MrZakalwe
Hi folks, For a while I've been working on a Highborn Battletome and I've been given the chance to test the basic warscroll changes in a narrative campaign starting in a couple of weeks. The other guys involved have seen my woes over the last few years (compendium removals have not been kind to the Highborn) so have given me more or less free reign (this is fairly safe as I'll agonise over everything) but I wanted some second opinions. So this is the rework of the Silverhelms - the idea was to make them pure shock cavalry with a decent charge but relatively useless afterwards. At 140 points the closest unit I can compare them to is Dragonblades: Pros: Slightly better on the charge against armoured targets. Can take advantage of the Highborn keyword for Seawarden buff. Cons: Much worse after the charge. Worse on the charge against 4+ and worse armour. Lack native battleshock immunity. So what are your thoughts, folks, are these too much? And if so how would you suggest I tweak them? I don't think they would be OP as they seem to compare negatively with a unit you already never see out of cheese Order draconis alpha strike lists but I may well be missing something. Thanks!
