This week!

  • A lot of excitement over AoS 2 - I’ve bitten the bullet and started on the Deepkin. The WhatsApp chat has gotten very excited.
  • Various AoS games.
  • @Chris Tomlin‘s Blackout 2018 are on the horizon. New armies are reaching the table!
  • More Necrons and Tau and Tim’s Deathwatch get stronger!
  • Fish puns!
  • Shadespire

Last week:

Last week featured my Sylvaneth Winterleaf plus 40 Arkanauts defeated by Matthew’s Ironjawz; Ben Murphy’s Mixed Order (Phoenix, Vulkites, Arkanauts) defeat Ralph’s Freeguild and Alex Kew’s yet more Arkanauts recoil under the counterpunch of the Daughters of Khaine heroes! Arthur’s Nighthaunt took on Ben’s Stormcast too.

This week there will be the usual mixture of 2,000 point games going on. If you have a smaller force, then someone should be happy to give you an introductory or demo game as well.

We're thinking about some Narrative play soon after Heat 2 - combo of Silver tower and Malign Portents - perhaps Skirmish games (using the new supplemental rules in that book) and narrative Battleplans.

Runedaddy has a go at Derpghar. I finally found uses for that oversized axe and Kairic Acolytes.
Our League has reached a climax with a few key games left to decide the title. I held Rob Bradley’s Skitz Skatz to a 1:1 Draw after deploying the patented Chainsaw plus fouling strategy. More nuance in the game than it sounds.
Ben and John drew, so the League is even closer at the top!
Bloodbowl is such an amazing game! New players are very welcome! Tom has just joined the fun.
My Vampires take on Ben’s Orcs in a potential title decider for the season.
I played James's SCE last time with Fyreslayers. Good fun!
The only way is up for me with my 18 games 14 Losses record. I’m loving the Fyreslayers compared to the Blood Reavers - much more my style. Excited about the new releases coming!
Should be a perfect second game to fit around a main game in an evening. Or you can just play 4 games back to back :D.
Tim and Sami played Deathwatch (pre-Codex) vs Necrons.
I’ve penned my Thousand Sons plus Emperor’s Children List too.
Rob and others are keen on the new Knights and I’m hoping Deathwatch make Space Marines more competitive.
Craig is leading the way with his Ad Mech - awesome painting!
Simon Froley is leading the charge and starting a campaign soon.
John’s Escher took on Matt’s Orlocks for a second time.
Will be going strong this year and the level of support from GW (e.g. Squat Mercenary and Genestealer Cults in White Dwarf). Orlocks look epic.
@Thanatos Ares
@Marc Wilson

Give me a shout on the forum or post below and I can add you to our AoS WhatsApp chatroom (we broke 100,000 messages recently and counting - I swear fully half of it is John talking about Khorgoraths).

The Hobbit

New armies are coalescing.
