You are invited to do battle at our first Age of Sigmar doubles event to be held in our gaming loft on 6th October!

You and your team partner need an army of 1000 points each picked from the pitched battle profiles available in Battletomes or the current General’s Handbook at the time of the event. Armies do not have to be painted though there is a prize for best painted army and team on the day.

 

Allegiance abilities are not shared between team mates even if teams share keywords. You may mix alliances (order and chaos, destruction and order etc)

 

Tickets cover a team of two people. 

 

The event takes place over three games and as ever will be streamed live on www.twitch.tv/kirtongames

 

Players will be asked to play in the spirit of friendly competition. 

 

Schedule

 

09:00 - 09:30: Registration

09:30– 12:00 Game 1

12:00– 13:00 Lunch

13:00– 15:30 Game 2

16:00– 18:30 Game 3

18:45 Prize giving

 

Scoring

Best general will be calculated using the following:

3 points for a major victory

2 points for a minor victory

1 point for a loss

-

Points of units killed will be used for swiss draw.

 

There will be a top 3 painting prize. 

 

Prizes:

 

Top: a £15 voucher each and a trophy!

Best painted: a £15 voucher each and a trophy! 

 

House rules:

Armies should use the appropriate requirements from the General's Handbook 2017 (or latest at the event). Additionally we measure from the base, not the model. Allegiance abilities, artifacts and command traits will be used.

Facilities:

Parking - there is £2 all day parking at St Saviours Way carpark which is a 3 minute walk to the shop.

 

Food:

There are plenty of food options in Crediton! We normally all meet in the Wetherspoons Pub, The General Buller, for Breakfast at 8am!

Updated rules for the tournament:

1: As well as selecting artefacts for your army, you can also state your TEAM is from one of the Realms (page 79 of Malign Sorcery book) and select an artefact from there FOR EACH PLAYER subject to normal restrictions. This must be recorded on your army list. YOUR TEAM MUST BE FROM THE SAME REALMS.

2: Endless spells are in use

3: Realm rules will be in use and will be shared prior to each game. This will take th e form of a brief on screen. We will tell you which of the Rea lmscape features is in use ahead of the game. Standard spells of the realms rules for that realm will be in use.

4: To allow for set up, each game will be extended by 15 minutes for extra set up and the times have been changed to allow for this.

5: Battleplans will be drawn from both the Core Rules and General's Handbook and will be announced pre-game.

@Theslowcentury - can each player have the same artefact in their army? Or do you have to pick a different one for each army? 

Presumably it’s ok for both Generals to have the same command trait?

Both are fine - We're ruling it that essentially each player should pick a 1000 point army. Item duplications are  ok over the pair of armies.

Another great day at Kirton Games!

Well done to @Paul Buckler & @Ninja_Badger_Rich for taking out the win.

Thanks to anyone who voted for or said nice things about mine and @Forestreveries's armies. All the hours we crammed in over the week leading up to the event really paid off.

Also thanks to the 6 guys we played. 3 awesome games, with both losses being incredibly close. Unfortunately, BCR were every bit as bad as I expected...except for when you're playing Duality of Death and can just snowball off all your opponents heroes (sorry MTCLAWHAMMER!)

I look forward to the next one.
