Nico
If you're looking for Age of Sigmar, Shadespire, 40K, Bloodbowl, Necromunda or other games in London, then head down to the South London Legion any Wednesday afternoon. You can find us here: Croydon Conference Centre 5-9 Surrey Street Croydon Surrey CR0 1RG @sthlondonlegion This week! Ben challenges Rob at Bloodbowl in the crunch match of the season! AoS night with Heat Two on the horizon. New armies reaching the table! A record number of Magma Dragons attending the club (3)! #FlappyMeta Last week had a healthy turnout with 15 people playing 5 systems (AoS, two games of 40K, Necromunda, Shadespire and Malifaux)! AoS Heat Two is coming up fast. About 6 of us are going - including Rob, @Thanatos Ares, James and I. Alex Kew took on Ben Murphy’s Mixed Order filth. The KO struggled against the durability of the undercosted Phoenixes. This week there will be the usual mixture of 2,000 point games going on. If you have a smaller force, then someone should be happy to give you an introductory or demo game as well. A lot of excitement over Idoneth Derpkin (term of affection) - NARWHAL incoming. We're thinking about some Narrative play soon after Heat 2 - combo of Silver tower and Malign Portents - perhaps Skirmish games (using the new supplemental rules in that book) and narrative Battleplans. We're also in the early stages of planning #BigBash which will be an all day narrative megabattle between several of our armies - Archaon and 4 Exalted Greater Daemons vs Nagash, Mortarchs and 6 Flappies - what's not to love? Runedaddy has a go at Derpghar. I finally found uses for that oversized axe and Kairic Acolytes. Bloodbowl The League is reaching a climax with the next two games decisive for the coveted trophy. Rob‘s Skitz Skatz take on Ben’s Orcs in what might decide the title! Bloodbowl is such an amazing game! New players are also welcome! Tom has just joined the fun. Shadespire I played James's SCE today with Fyreslayers. Good fun! The Shadespire event on the Friday at Blood Tithe was great and I did score a win against a leading French player. The competition was formidable however and I wound up last with my Blood Reavers. The only way is up for me with my 18 games 14 Losses record. I’m loving the Fyreslayers compared to the Blood Reavers - much more my style. Should be a perfect second game to fit around a main game in an evening. Or you can just play 4 games back to back . 40K I finally played my first game today - 1,500 Points - Raptors Ad Mech vs Deathwatch. It was super close - looked like my game all the way until Tim whipped out a stasis Bomb: Sami and Josh had a sweet game! Necrons vs Tau: Sami is doing well with the Necrons and pumped for the new Battletome! Ben Raven, Nathan and Simon Weakley seem very excitable about Tyranids! Simon Froley is keen for Tau! I’m keen on Knights, hoping Deathwatch make Space Marines more competitive. Craig is leading the way with his Ad Mech - awesome painting! I’m just going to leave this here: One of the cohort of Bens owns this chap. Necromunda Simon Froley is leading the charge and starting a campaign soon. John’s Escher took on Matt’s Orlocks in the first game at the club in our VIP room: Will be going strong this year and the level of support from GW (e.g. Squat Mercenary and Genestealer Cults in White Dwarf). Orlocks look epic. @Thanatos Ares @Leonardas @Bowlzee @Marc Wilson Give me a shout on the forum or post below and I can add you to our AoS WhatsApp chatroom (we broke 100,000 messages recently and counting - I swear fully half of it is John talking about Khorgoraths). The Hobbit Simon had a great time at Warhammer World for a Hobbit Event! Smaug was involved. Group of players is forming.
