Bravery Debuff Army

I was wondering, do you think a bravery debuff themed army could work? Legion of Blood Allegiance (-1 bravey) using Morghast (-1 bravery), Deathrattle banners (in 40 squellettons, another -1) and of course casting Overwhelming dread (if lucky for twice the effect) and maybe 2 Terrorgheist for attacking and screaming  of course.

Any other ideas? (I will not play the TK Catapult...) Someone already tried it?

A lot of armies have bravery 10, is it good enough vs them? For sure that would be fun to play.

Personally I've struggled to get it to fit into the points value I play at (2K). It works very well on paper, but to get it to work on the table you need multiples of everything so that your whole plan can't be sabotaged by your opponent just focusing down 1 unit or 1 character.  Would definitely be interested to see if anyone else has managed to get it to fit into a 2K list though.

Here's something I just cooked up, thats designed for MAXIMUM bravery debuff, while maintaining a good blend of punchy units.

If everything goes off perfectly, you get:

-1 From Command Trait

-2 From Morghasts due to LoB/Morghast rule

-1 from Black Knights

-2 from 9+ Overwhelming dread

 

For a maximum of 6 Bravery. VERY little will not be running from that big a debuff; factor in units like the Terrorgheist, Banshee and Mortis Engine, and you have some serious MW output.

Do the -1 bravery from banners stack? I assume all the artefacts and spells you can take to further reduce bravery stacks also?

No, the Banners do not stack.  It is just -1 Bravery for enemy units within 6'' of any Death Standard Bearers.

I don't see how Morghast give -2 Brevery. It is the same like the Banner rule. ... within any Morghast.

So you got

So legally, that list can potentially give a -5 bravery to a unit?

The morghasts already get the -1 so its -2 to be near them plus banners and so forth.  Personally i love the idea but think it wont work well enough.  It forces certain units into the army to make use of the rebuff but it doesn't have enough ouch or staying power to make full use of it.  

 

However I'd say a unit of crypt flayers could be a good shout in that type of list due to being cheapish and hitting well enough but each guy has a mini terrorghiest scream as well as being fast.  Having the black knights supported by them could be vicious against standard bravery units.

I have managed to fit all these into a 2k list for -8(10) Bravery.

1x Corpse Cart

1x Mortis Engine

BRAVERY ATTACKS

2x Tomb Banshees

1x Terrorgheist

And the Bloodseeker again.

Of course, actually building and painting all this stuff is another matter entirely 🤷‍♂️

I'd veer towards Legion of Grief.  Although you can't run the Vampire bits, there are more bravery debuffs available in the army.  Stuff with bravery 10 (a lot of stuff) will neuter quite a lot of the potential damage though
