flemingmma
Hello fellow lovers of fluffy stuff, I have created a skirmish battleplan that may or may not be heinously unbalanced or no fun at all but, it is fluffy in my opinion and i think could fit well into any skirmish campaign, or any hinterlands, aos28, path of bones or the newly created renown or ruin games. It concerns the walking tower, a magical and mechanical monstrosity wandering, seemingly aimlessly through the mortal realms ever since the early days of the age of myth. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yJc6mWc5LfaG8z-tIzpKgRVMz0ii102R/view?usp=sharing Tell me if it plays like poorly or anything else you think would be of use in the document. I'll also be posting wip of the walking tower as I build it combined with instructions if you want to make your own, hell if you come up with a better idea of how to build one please be sure to post it. mumperpa
Seems pretty cool, d6 is a pretty small distance though. Maybe 2d6 would be better? Also, the damage seems like it should be mortal wounds. It is a giant tower.
flemingmma
I appreciate your suggestions i was tossing up between d6 and 2d6 so I'll change it if it feels wrong in playtest. The reason I didn't make it mortal wounds is I didn't want a chunk of a warband getting wiped out by the tower with no chance for saves.
mumperpa
Oh, didn't think about one wound characters. If d6 and 2d6 don't feel right 2d3 might work. It ups the average a little.
flemingmma
The reason i went for d6 was to avoid the tower running off the board in 3 turns. I know its unlikely but it would still make for a bad game.
flemingmma
So want to build yourself a walking tower all you need is some plasticard and a pringles tin For an Australian pringles tin you cut the plasticard into 2.8 cm squares but you can work out how big you need the "bricks" to be by working out the radius of the tin then creating an octagon from that radius. Stick those onto the tin with climbing brick patterns Then make some legs with plasticard (You can stick it with polycement) and attatch them I need to get some more primer then I'll be able to paint it. flemingmma
Some admech, skaven or tech duardin bits or some magical objects wouldn't go amiss on it
Spiky Norman
If you want inspiration for a crazy moving tower/castle, try and look up Howl's Moving Castle on IMDB.
flemingmma
I played the scenario today with a few additions and adjustments. It worked quite well.
