Filius
Hi there, I'm currently in the lengthly process of choosing an army (which I enjoy a lot) and although the general design of the Fyreslayers is not completely my cup of tea, I like them, as much as I like all things duardin. But I especially love the Magamdroths. There are so many painting, kitbashing and storytelling options to them and they really fit greatly to the duardin. So I wonder wether it is total madness to field lots of them. Has anyone experiences with fielding three, four or even more Magmadroths? As always: Thanks everyone for helping and making this place awesome!
Karl
3 is perfectly acceptable and is the favoured number of a long time Fyreslayer player Carl Smith, he’s done very well at tournaments with the list. I even watched him ply a list with 4 in last night and won.

chord
I think in All-Gates or God Beasts there was a magmadroth only battalion.

cranect
I like running a few. I've had some good games so far with 4. A father, 2 sons, and a smiter. I normally bring just 2 but 4 with 2x30 vulkites and 10 HBs. Then I just add a Battlesmith and Runemaster because I can. I like to play fairly defensive if I can with it. Used it to beat FEC and Tzeentch so far. I just keep the droths behind one unit of pick and shield vulkites and use them to attack monsters and burn units with the magma breath. Its been a lot of fun and fairly decent.
