Shane
We often play 2vs2 or multiplayer variations. So 500-1000 points each will make full medium-large games easily. All of my forces are yet to be expanded in AoS so I'm holding off buying anything (Tzeentch/Slaanesh/Fimir).
Gharak
Think we'll be aiming at 1000-1500 points on the table, I've almost 10k of Chaos from a number of factions but to me I'd rather have a larger collection I can draw on depending on the scenario we're playing and swap units in or out depending on need and what I fancy for that day. This kind of game also plays out pretty well in an hour or so, on a good evening we can just about get 2 games in. This makes campaigns quite swift moving and you can easily play out 4-5 games over a weekend even with the kids about. I also like the tactical choice smaller games make you consider, I can no longer just bring everything I need to the table, I get a tactical challenge, do I try and cover all bases, do I theme up and go for a fast army, or a slower hard hitting force where I risk being outflanked? I know quite a lot of gamers that purchase an army and that's it. It doesn't change, they just play the same damn army everytime. Playing that kind of game really bores me I want a fresh challenge when ever I get a game, not just to play your cookie cutter army each time. hobgoblinclub
We'll probably play at 2000 points. It'll feel like Warhammer.
Brian Andrews
As a new player trying to work out 2000 points for my Fyreslayers is a bit intimidating. I have about 1000 points of infantry right now and whilst they feel characterful for me I would be concerned that 5 model units will get blasted off too easily. I think that once I get a magmadroth and fill out my current units I'll have 2000 points easily and we can always do escalation campaigns when starting new armies. That said my only concern is that at 2000 points we are getting back to the old barrier of entry through the cost of a competitive force. Has anyone tallied up the points values of the Age of Sigmar box or the Start Collecting boxes? Do they have an level points/threat level? That nurgle box looks scary... Veterannoob
I have solo Fyreslayers and understand. What do you have so far and can you stick with escalation as that's always shoot option?
Stauderpower
I pointed the scrolls and they are around 500 points, depending on the options you build
