IronJaws Brutefist

Poddy

Question

I was wondering if someone could please explain the "ironjawz brutefist" to me. It says they can charge in the hero phase. Does that mean they get extra attacks in that phase and enemy cant attack back AND they get a normal charge/attack phase? Or do they just get 1 normal charge but dish out d3 mortal wounds. Thanks in advance!

Green-skinned Battering Ram: A Brute?st is a living tide of destruction that can
pulverise even the toughest of foes. In your hero phase, units from the battalion
within 10" of its Brute Big Boss (including his own unit) can make a charge move as
if it were the charge phase. If the charge is successful, pick one enemy unit within 3"
of the unit that charged; it su?ers D3 mortal wounds.

Charge phase and attack phase are separate; all this means is they get to charge early.

Pretty nifty as if they fail the charge, they still get a movement phase and then another go at charging in the charge phase.

They still only get 1 attack phase, though.

In addition to what @BaldoBeardo said, you're also getting to apply those D3 mortal wounds before the actual combat phase (and before the target can strike back), which could be handy depending on what you've charged.

As a follow up question, if the D3 mortal wounds is enough to kill the charged unit, will the Orruk unit be able to charge a second target later in that turn?
