HobbyHammer
I want to get some better lighting in my hobby room, I don't wanna spend a fortune but I do want a good lamp (probably over head clip on lamp). I wanna know what people use for lighting? Links to buy things would be awesome too!
Brunel.Richard
I got one of these a couple of years ago and it's brilliant. Low glare, pure white light like sunlight and strong enough to light up my whole desk. Couldn't recommend it more. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Daylight-Lamps-DH159-Table-Lamp/dp/B00280QVOO
HobbyHammer
That looks good! I have ended up with something very similar, it is arriving tomorrow, so will get some pictures of it in action. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00XTUCIW6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=

Silverceptor
I carry one of the Normande magnafying daylight clip on lamps to the hobby shop. It is the only way that I can see what I am painting. https://www.amazon.com/16-5-Daylight-Clip-On-Lamp/dp/B01ADRTZ96/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1465676057&sr=8-10&keywords=normande+lighting+clip 16.5" Daylight Clip On Lamp by Normande Lighting Link:https://amzn.com/B01ADRTZ96

Grimblaze
I got one of these from HobbyCraft - only 20 notes and can't complain - light and a magnifying glass combined: http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/daylight-company-naturalight-table-magnifying-lamp/573114-1000

Carnelian
Apologies for the threadcromancy but I am also on the lookout for a lamp and thought I should search before I post. I'm not so keen to spend £100+ on a lamp - looking more in the £30/40 territory. Does anyone have any recommendations for that area? I found this on Amazon which looks suitable: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fluorescent-Daylight-Flexible-Magnifying-Position/dp/B000B8JNWM/ref=sr_1_25?ie=UTF8&qid=1473156225&sr=8-25&keywords=daylight+lamp but I can't quite work out if it will be useful as a normal lamp without the magnifier. I also found this, a cheaper model and would be grateful for people's thoughts on whether it would do the job: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingland-Dimmable-Eye-Care-Flexible-Children/dp/B018V7C2BI/ref=sr_1_45?ie=UTF8&qid=1473156225&sr=8-45&keywords=daylight+lamp thanks in advance! RuneBrush
I picked up this (now unavailable) light a couple of months back: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00WTOKDR0/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I'm really impressed considering it was under £20. Personally I'd not get another florescent bulb version having used this.
Bowlzee
I picked up a £20 lamp from Ikea, and bought a Daylight bulb for it. Works enough for me
