MacDuff
I have a set of GW battle boards, but the seams really bug me and destroy the immersion of a cohesive battlefield. I'd love suggestions on how to hide them but keep the set modular.
MacDuff
I'm considering clipping them, gluing sand on the terrain, putting masking tape on the underside seams, and pouring some loose sand in the cracks, but I'm not sure... Greyshadow
What I would recommend is basing your terrain on MDF boards like GW used to do back in the day. I mount a hand jig saw in a vice to cut out irregular shapes. I then use the vice to hold a belt sander to bevel the edges. If it is a big terrain piece, I’ll pin it to the base. I then PVA the exposed MDF, sprinkle modelling sand, prime and paint. When placing terrain I try to place it over the seams. Once your collection of terrain gets big enough, this really improves the look of your board and still allows you to pack up your table.
