Recently brought the old podcast back and decided to make a video from it as well.  Already working on improvements for future episodes, but wanted to get this one out into the world just to test the waters.  Hope folks enjoy it!

It is time once again to grab a hammer, strap on a shield, and pull up your pants. We are talking Age of Sigmar on the Unstable Dice YouTube Channel.

In this week's episode, we are joined by special co-host Joe Flesch from the Hobby Heroes Podcast! The show starts with us talking about how each of us is approaching 2nd edition differently with Chuck focusing on competitive play, Joe hanging in the realm of open play and John kicking off something in the middle with league play.

In the second segment of the show, we breakdown the battleplan Places of Arcane Power. We examine how it impacts certain armies and debate what is the best approach to playing the scenario if your army is not quite built for it.

The show ends with America's favorite segment of the show, Five Questions. This week's list is a mixture of rules questions, thoughts on Easy to Build models and bets on where Chuck will place at the Midwest Meltdown.

Episode Timeline

00:01:00 Approaching 2nd Edition AoS

00:32:05 Battleplan

In this On the Bench episode, I begin working on a 25mm Secret Weapon Miniatures Alien Temple base. I discuss the prep work that went into the base before filming. The episode concludes with the base about 50% finished. Also during the episode, I discuss my experience with Secret Weapon Miniatures and share my thoughts on using resin bases versus scratch built ones.

Huge thank you to Granitebrow76 for joining the stream to talk about basing and the South Florida gaming scene.

As a side note, I have decided that episodes which will be tutorials on how I paint different things will be referred to as Painting Diary episodes. Painting Diary episodes will tend to be streamlined and just cover the process of how I completed something.

At the same time, Live streams that first appear on Twitch will be called On the Bench Episodes. On the Bench episodes will typically be me working on models and discussing hobby related topics in a casual fashion.

In this Painting Diary episode, I go over the process I am using to base my Nighthaunt Chainrasp models. I discuss a selection of different tufts and static grasses and demonstrate how I apply each of them. I also discuss a bit about finding balance when basing models and avoiding making the base the focus.
