ipoo2
If I summoned in a unit of zombies and then merged (shambling horde) the summoned unit. Will the new unit be affected by the summoning movement restrictions?
TerrorPenguin
God knows. The shambling horde rule throws up so many issues. TBH I think it should be rewritten to say 'any restrictions or benefits which would have applied to either of the original units also apply to the new unit' Although note it is not a "new unit" in a pure rules sense as that would give clarity to the max unit size issue. I don't know of any where else units are described as 'merging'

Malakree
I have always felt that GW is a gentleman's game, if you think it might be an issue talk to your opponent or tourney organiser before it starts and get a house rule added. It's better and fairer for everyone involved.
Rob Hawkins
The two units "merge." Nothing says that one unit is joining the other. So I would think that any benefits or penalties that either of the two (or more) units had would apply in the new single unit. ie: It can't move if one of them had just been summoned; if one had Mystic Shield on it, the whole new unit would have Mystic Shield, etc.
