How do you paint purple scales?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering how do you paint the scales on the carnosaur purple?

I basically want this look:

That looks looks like it could have been done (loosely speaking) with Nagaroth Night with a druchii Violet wash and a drybrush of Lucius Violet. Possibly with a Slaanesh Grey edge hilight.

Starting with a lighter purple base (than Naggaroth Night) would give you a lighter end coloration. (Like say, Xereus or Genestealer Purple.)
