sirflukesalot
So heres the List i intend to bring to blood and glory, i dont expect it to be "ultra competitive" or anything but hey im just looking for a fun time. so enough with the small talk onto the juicy list! leader wise: 2x butchers[280] -stump blades and cauldron 1x tyrant(general)(unsure on which artifact etc. atm)[160] - ogre club Battleline: 2x Leadbelchers x6[560] -belower -thunderfist 1x ironguts x6[400] -bellower -Gutlord -Rune maw bearer Artillery: 2x ironblasters [280] Other: 2x Grots x20[200] 1x Gorgers x2[120] hits a solid 2000pts exactly originally made before the new GHB but point drops+ironguts "Battleline if" let me modify it a bit more was tempted to shoe-horn in a allied firebelly as i want one of those models to paint but hey i think this list works better opinions welcome
Equinox
In my experience, the gorgers are simply not worth the points. The warscroll is flawed and their special deployment is 12+" away from an enemy unit, meaning they cannot potentially charge on the turn they arrive. The 6+ save is to easy to negate with rend and with only 5 wounds each, they drop pretty much to a mild breeze. At the moment, I really like the Tyrant with the great gouger and taking traits that give him bonuses to wound so that he gets the 6 dmg/per wound. I dropped a Huskard on Thundertusk this weekend from a single charge with such a tyrant. Good fun, but you need to back him up or he becomes an easy target. WSDdeloach
also, Ironguts.. simply not worth it either. Ive found for 400 points 12 Ogors are wayy better. Ironguts just simply cost too many points at the moment. If they were like, 180 i'd throw some in. Ogors are consistent, and when you get the +1 attack they become nasty. I always run them in big blocks 9 or 12, with iron fists. Great on the charge, wound dense as hell. Love them. Also, i have too found... Gorgers are a waste of points. This edition is really body heavy.. so maybe try some scraplaunchers over ironblasters? You need bodies and ways to kill bodies. Scraplaunchers & Ogors (non ironguts/leadbelchers) do that well. Led belchers i can see having a place. Seeing the two blocks of 20 gnoblars are a great choice. Maybe you can swing it for one big one of 60? not sure if that works for you. But, personally drop the Ironguts and Gorgers out of your list. I've played alot of Ogors in my destro armies since AoS drop. Butchers, Tyrants, Ogors & Scraplaunchers (but now include gnoblars) are the best bets out of the faction.

Gorgers aren't there to get straight into combat or even to hold up against much, use them to zone an enemy from an objective or by forcing them to focus them. They aren't a fantastic unit but you can use them for some hijinx Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mohojoe
If nothing has changed from GHB2 I would consider taking the grots as a unit of 40 and use the command ability that kills a few then makes them immune to battleshock. You then have a horde unit that's a lot harder to shift and can really hold up the enemy for your ranged. Would also echo that ogors are going to be better than iron guts for the points if you have the models Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sirflukesalot
Thanks for the feedback guys!Due to the horde discount for ogors a brick of 12 is a straight swap points-wise so ill go for thisAs for the gorgers i am aware their ambush thing is a bit meh however they have a bit of flex with their deployment which can lead to some shenanigans. They do hit quite hard if they get to attack. Tbh i couldn't think of anything else to put in other than the gougers for the 120pt'sAnd for the grots i had been debating on merging them into one big unit. Cheers for the feedback guysSent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
sirflukesalot
and a note about the ironblaster+scrap launcher option. i feel as much as hordes will obviously be present. if they are like a stormcast army or BCR for example i will be lacking dmg when against smaller numbered units an while i agree it is excellent at turning big grot units into a field of grot-kebabs (and ofc other flavoured kebabs depending who is on the menu) they cant really do much against big stuff like maw-Krusha's or stardrakes etc. and the cannons still do D6 AND at a -2 rend not to mention they get a re-roll for missed shots against big units(+10) i did consider them but i feel for 20 points more the ironblasters do a slightly better job
