I also looked at this combo and like it very much because if you take 2 pack masters it would be on a 4+, furthermore each of them get a 3+ save.

They become also really good, I am definatelly giving them a try.

I guess it was the guaranteed damage 3 amd the option to put them in reserve what made me go for grinderfiests.... But definatelly both options are very good

Actually is just a single atack so even if you rolled the 4+, 4+ for both attacks ( about 6% probability) You would only get to double the damage of one of the attacks so only roll a D3 and than double it. Not very good in my opinion

Guys I wanna post my idea for 2k list

arch warlock 140

command trait 4, artifact 5

warloxk engi 100

verminlord deceiver 320

2x5 skyre acolyte  120

6 stormfiends  600

-windlauncher 

3 stormfiends 300

- ratling

3 stormfiends  300

-shock gauntlets

warp grinder weapon team 100

tot 1980

 

the idea is

-6 stormfiends with warp grinder , with 3+ I got tp and I don't need charge for damge. I buff them with articfact 5 and if enemy unit got more then 10 models I hit 2 wound 4 . 12 shots . ( my question is in this case if make 3 wound unsaved I roll dice and after I chose what I want doble?) anyway dat potentially can do big damage

- deceiver can teleport in combat too it s great for take objective 

- rattling support my other on of mele le stormfiends :) what do you think ?:)

I have put together a list that should be able to perform well with  mortal wound spam and horde clearing:

General hangs out in the middle with all 4 weapon teams giving them a buff to shooting.  40 clanrats provide meat shield.  Can shoot warp lightning cannons 4 times a turn and get a D6 mortal wounds shot from the chokelung formation.  Stormfiends can be loaded out any way you like.  Its a little unweildy in that most things will need to be inside the protection of the 40 clan rat bubble but it has a lot of range to reach out and hurt someone while still being able to move up the board without losing firepower.  Thoughts?

The clanrats should stick around bc there is nothing else to give inspiring presence to in the army and you dont have any other command abilities to chose from.  I am considering dropping a Cannon for an additional 40 clanrats or take giant rats in 10 packs as speed bumps.

To be honest I would not use windlaunchers, the thibg they have goibg for them is range but the damage output is not that high even at 2+ 4+ and a shad token tjis unit is doing an average of 13 wounds per shot and to do that the unit has to take D3 wounds 

This same unit with grinderfiests does an average of 43 wounds if it gets the charge, 24 with  warpfire throwers and, about 15 with the rattling cannons,  so I would probably change their weapon option if I where you ( rattling cannons and wind launchers are not my first options) 

Rattling guns and the deceiver are always a good choise they have work wanders for me

I have never loved the Deceiver.  Skitterleap is great for grabbing objectives but for his points he seems to die to almost anything.  The only time I have LOVED him is when he is paired with something savage to teleport, like Thanquol and his 2d6 mortal wounding buddy.

I am not sure how he is going to be in skyrw alliance but when you used him as general with +1 to hit in last gh and his command ability his damage output with the -3 rend was brutal

I tried this list out against flesh-eater courts a couple nights ago the sparks combined with PWM is so strong. The Clanrats worked awesome as a screen. Buffed stormfiends did 39 hits in one round of combat...

In the end he conceded turn 2..
