Hi everyone,

When ghb 2016 dropped I bought it through iBooks. I found it very nice to have it on different devices. Shortly after I learned that the app shows you the points if you bought the handbook through the app. Also I kind of miss the hard copy just as something to have on the table instead of digital.

So im not convinced on what version to buy. So I got curious. How is everybody buying their generals handbook ?

I bought the £45 set because I like stuff. Can never have to much stuff.

I can say now, it is a brilliant set. The 9" rulers are very useful and the dials are nicer that just using dice for scoring for sure.

I agree to some extent here, however, I can't enter the rage on hardcopy books. Only on anything worthless like flyers, commercial in mailbox that nobody never uses and the 5000 letters I get from insurance companies offering life insurance...

But I see your point for sure!

I like trees, too. Without them, I couldn't have paper! :D

Anyway, I've ordered the Warlords edition and I don't believe GW has indicated the various extras (which look pretty awesome) will be available separately.

I bought the digital edition of GHB last year of the black library (not sure if its the right name, its the GW site for digital downloads), I experienced nothing but issues with this edition - starting off with downloads not working/getting interrupted and corrupted halfway, the ebook not being able to be processed by any of my tablets, e-book readers or even e-book programs  on my pc. I had to figure out a work around opening it up in Google Chrome with an addon.

Long story short:

Never buying the digital edition off them again, unless they provide the book as a pdf.

My FLGS was feeling nice I guess, and had the GH2017 available to purchase.  I grabbed it with the Open War cards and hope to give them a shot soon.  I hope to read it some tonight and get a feel for how the game will work moving forward.

I can appreciate how others want to have everything on a device instead of a printed hardcopy.  But myself?  I prefer the tactile nature of the hobby, including the whole flipping pages through a book to look stuff up.  Plus, don't have to worry about batteries draining and can play without electricity.

Any chance if you could tell me if there are points/rules for death rattle units in there? :) (Don't need to post the points of course, just looking forward to it!)
