Noidea
I was a long time fan of Fantasy but never played too much. I wasn't a fan of the change to AoS but with the impending release of points I thought I would give it a go. In saying that I am starting up Death because I like the Morghast models and some of the other beasties in the range, like Arkhan. After advice on models and such to get. 95% doing this as a painting project to challenge myself (also sick of power armour at the moment). My issue is I don't like any of the Ghoul stuff except the Zombie dragon kit. What other kits/units do people recommend
Grimnaud
Have a look at the Start Collecting: Skeleton box. If you want Arkhan, it's a great value.
Shane
Agreed with the above. There are two Start Collecting boxes: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Start-Collecting-Skeleton-Horde https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Start-Collecting-Malignants If you grab them from your local indie gaming store you'll get a further discount on that (£85 for both). If you're new, it's also worth mentioning that many of the units in these boxes can be built two ways (sometimes three). So there are loads of options here. I wish I could get boxes that cheap! My local hobby store it was $140 for the skeletal horde box set (aussie). Still a good deal seeing as Arkhan is normally $110 on his own or so. Been a fan of the big skellie kits since they were released but never could be bothered before

Been a fan of the big skellie kits since they were released but never could be bothered before I feel your pain! I was in Brisbane for 5 years.... Prices there are Ridiculous. Thankfully I'm now back in the motherland, and throwing money at GW and laughing, as I'm still better off than when in Australia
DamonRafael
Sorry to bring up back this topic but I have a question related on the starter box Do anyone knows if Mortarch is a multikit in the starter box? I mean, is it possible to build Neferata instead of Archan?
Shane
Yes. All Start Collecting boxes have the full kits.

Nico
Typical Death armies include: Blood Knights alpha strike. Neferata's Blood Court. Morghasts lists (often with Mannfred/Arkhan/Neferata). Settra Tomb King Alpha strike (or repeated Alpha cannon strike). Nagash lists. Ethereal lists. Grave Guard lists. Flesh Eater Courts lists. From experience (my unused Vargulfs and Vargheists), I really suggest planning the whole army out before you buy, as the keywords and rules put the units in different siloes. They don't cross-synergise very well.
DamonRafael
I do have the Flesh Eater Court as of now, and I really enjoyed the game I played with them I also bought a Start Collecting: Malignants! I want to add something to that army, and I want a Mortarch For the price, it seems logical to me to buy the starter box instead of the single morghast
