We have decided since Games Workshop have released a recommend tournament format that we will follow it for the tournament next week including their recommended Optional Rules. Battleplans and Realms will be announced at the beginning of the round.

Event Title: The Titans - 2000 points - Athena Games, Norwich Event Author: Athena Games Calendar: Events UK Event Date: 08/11/2018 09:30 AM to 08/11/2018 07:00 PM Format: 2000 points, Battlehost Entry Fee: £10 This will be our first big tournament using the new second edition rules! We are looking forward to seeing what changes in the armies there may have been. There is no requirement for models to be painted for this event, although it does help with the playing atmosphere. --------------------------------------------- Army Composition Select a Battlehost army up to 2000 points using the rules and restrictions in the Pitched Battle section of General's Handbook 2018. Before selecting artefacts for an army, a player can decide that their force is from one of the Realms as detailed in the Malign Sorcery book and select artefacts from that list instead of their normal ones for their allegiance. Once you are happy with your army, you must record it on an army roster. All text must be clearly readable for us and your opponent to check. You will need to hand one copy of your army roster in at registration, and have at least one other copy to show to your opponents before each game. You must use the same army roster for each game, and all choices available to you must be noted down on your army roster. Remember that your roster must include things like who your general is, army allegiance, the allegiance abilities you will use, artefacts of power, spells, and the number of leaders, artillery and behemoth models in your army. Any kind of ability you can choose before the game must be decided on before the event and recorded on your army roster. This includes things like Mark of Chaos for Slaves to Darkness Chaos Warriors. These choices are made for the entire event, and as they are part of your army roster, cannot be changed during the event. --------------------------------------------- Publications In Use All current and in-print Warhammer Age of Sigmar battletomes, Grand Alliance books, warscroll compendiums (including those from Forge World), General’s Handbook 2018, any warscrolls and warscroll battalions with a Pitched Battle profile, and all up-to-date FAQs and Errata. Any future publications are in use unless their release falls on the weekend of the event. We expect you to use the most current warscrolls for your models e.g. those found in a battletome rather than a Grand Alliance book or warscroll compendium. --------------------------------------------- Prizes £5 store credit per player will be added to the prize pool and split across the top finishers. Event Title: Athena Games, Norwich - The Titans - 14th October 2017 Event Author: Athena Games Calendar: Events UK Event Date: 10/14/2017 09:30 AM to 10/14/2017 07:00 PM Warlords, the Titan tournament returns this October! So ready your troops for combat. Quick Information Format: 2000 points, Battlehost. Entry Fee: £10 Date: Saturday 14th October 9:30 am. Location: Athena Games, Norwich, 9 St. Gregory's Alley, NR2 1ER. Round Time: 2 Hours and 30 minutes. Schedule There will be three games of the day and these will be matched using swiss pairings. The first round will be randomly allocated and each round players will compete against someone with a similar number of wins and losses as themselves. After each game, there will be either a lunch break or a brief break to allow us to gather results and provide people with a small convenience break. You can find our approximate schedule below. 9:00 am: Doors Open. Registration opens 9:25 am: Registration closes. Welcome and event briefing 9:30 am - 12:00 pm: Game 1 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: Lunch 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm: Game 2 3:30 pm - 3:45 pm: Break 3:45 pm - 6:15 pm: Game 3 6:30 pm: Results and awards Your Army Each player must bring an army of up to 2000 points, following the rules and restrictions in the Pitched Battle section of the General's Handbook. Only Warscrolls and Warscroll battalions with a Pitched Battle profile may be used in this event. It is not a requirement for models to be fully painted but they must be based on either square or round bases (preferably round bases). Base sizes for models should be within reason, but not smaller than the bases the model(s) was supplied with. Players must register their army with us. All you have to do is bring along a copy of your army list and a proof of purchase (either til receipt or online invoice) and we will give you a scorecard for the day. Players will have to use the same army all day and we will be conducting spot checks to make sure that the points add up and that your army is accurate to the submitted army list. House Rules For this tournament, we will be using base-to-base when measuring all distances between models. Bases cannot overlap for purposes of piling in and making attacks. Scoring Games will be scored using the victory conditions of the scenarios and the table below: Major Victory - 3 Points Minor Victory - 2 Points Draw - 1 Point Loss - 0 Points Players will need to keep track of points in each game as margin of victory will be used as a tiebreaker. Prize Structure We will be offering prizes for the top 3 players as well as the Most Sporting Opponent and two Best-Painted Army Awards. For the most sporting opponent, every player will be asked to pick one game that they enjoyed most that day. The player who receives the most votes will win the most sporting player award. The two painting awards are given based on the Judges' Choice and Players' Choice. Please notify a judge if you wish to enter your army into the best painted army competition. During our lunch break, we will ask players taking part in this to leave their army for our judge to assess and make a decision. Players will also be given a chance to vote for which army they think was the best painted.
