  1. Choose the spell from the lore pre-game as normal.
  2. 12 Dracolines feels excessive, also means the army have no stopping power. I would think 3 with an optimised Dracoline Arcanum should be sufficient and only costs 540. Still leaves room for a unit of foot Evocators and plenty of Sequitors.
  3. Sequitors in a unit of 20 can deal with just about anything, and survive at least 2 rounds of combat even against nasty stuff. I played 1x20 and 2x10 at the weekend and I'm honestly trying to figure out how to switch to 2x20 and 1x5. They don't work as a deepstrike though but that job should be reserved for Evocators anyway.
  4. Wait, how do you get to ignore the "1 unit on the board for each unit in the sky" rule ?
  5. Okay list submissions for an upcoming tournament tomorrow and I'm close to finalising a list. Still unsure which spell to give Astreia, I think Celestial Blades is the strongest option for Evocators. Any thoughts? Allegiance: Stormcast Eternals Hammers of Sigmar Astreia Solbright (220)- GeneralLord-Castellant (100)Gavriel Sureheart (100)20 x Sequitors (400)- Stormsmite Mauls and Soulshields- 9x Stormsmite Greatmaces 10 x Sequitors (240)- Stormsmite Mauls and Soulshields- 5x Stormsmite Greatmaces 5 x Sequitors (120)- Stormsmite Mauls and Soulshields- 3x Stormsmite Greatmaces 10 x Evocators (400)- Lore of Invigoration: Celestial Blades- 5x Grandstaes5 x Evocators (200)- Lore of Invigoration: Celestial Blades Cleansing Phalanx (120)Total: 1900 / 2000Extra Command Points: 3Allies: 0 / 400Wounds: 133 Only options I'm toying with are: 1. Dropping the Cleansing Phalanx so I can bring the 3rd Sequitor unit up to 10 models. 2. Losing the two purchased command points so I can take a Relictor or 5 Liberators.
  6. Yeah I would go options 3. I have 2 lots of the Soul Wars Evocators and a box of multiparts, with another multipart box on the way. Want the option to build a unit of 5 and a unit of 10 or one big unit of 15. The extra Soul Wars Evocator means you can have 16 models and switch between a Prime and a normal Evocator depending on if you run 2 units or one.
  7. I honestly think you're best off buying the Soul Wars ones 2nd hand, it'll be cheaper even if you discard all the Primes you get. They're making some weird decisions with Sacrosanct kit designs, no Grand Mace option in the Sequitor Prime box, building heroes out of bits in both Evocator boxes leaving you without matched play sized units, the Arcanum on foot only available as a bundle with a centre-piece special character.
  8. Second attempt at a 2k list for a tournament next month, thinking: Astreia Solbright -General -Keen Clawed Gavriel Sureheart Sequitors x10 - Prime, Greatmace -Greatmace x5 -Maul x5 Sequitors x10 - Prime, Greatmace -Greatmace x5 -Maul x5 Sequitors x10 - Prime, Greatmace -Greatmace x5 -Maul x5 Celestar Ballista Celestar Ballista Celestar Ballista Evocators x15 - Prime -Tempest Blade and Stormstave x8 -Grandstave x7 1940/2000 1 command point 138 wounds I could alternatively switch one Ballista for a Lord Castellant to try and increase the durability of my battle-line. I can switch between alpha-striking the Evocators and a unit of Sequitors depending on the opponent. Will probably also keep the ballista in reserve.
  9. Cool, well I'll drop it on Asteria then, mount traits are generally more a nice to have than something critical.
  10. Working on a 2k list for a tournament next month, currently thinking: Astreia Solbright -General -Keen Clawed Gavriel Sureheart Drakesworn Templar -God-forge blade -Arc Hammer -Keen Clawed Sequitors x5 - Prime, Greatmace -Greatmace x2 -Maul x2 Sequitors x5 - Prime, Greatmace -Greatmace x2 -Maul x2 Sequitors x5 - Prime, Greatmace -Greatmace x2 -Maul x2 Celestar Ballista Celestar Ballista Evocators x15 - Prime -Tempest Blade and Stormstave x8 -Grandstave x7 1940/2000 1 command point 117 wounds Basic strategy is the Sequitors form a battleline with the Astreia providing support and the Drake peppering mortal wounds and sitting back for a counter-charge into anything heavy. Gavriel and the Evocators sit in reserve ready to alpha-strike. Yes they won't get to use empower the turn they come down but the sheer strength they'll deploy should be able to tear through a huge chunk of the opposing army the turn they arrive. The ballista will also sit in reserve to be deployed in a good place to offer a ranged threat.
  11. What are current opinions on Sureheart vs. Vexillor to boost charges for Scions units? I was leaning towards the Vexillor but the extra 20 pts makes me pause.
  12. Yeah I don't get the Batallion changes at all. You could argue Angelo's conclave is better but overall they mostly look meh. Hailstorm Battery looks ridiculous, you're basically paying 340 points to make a single Ballista shoot a bit better.
  13. First eyes on Dracoline rules too! 3 attacks 3+/3+/-1/1 D3 damage on the charge and -1 from enemy bravery within 3". 12" move. So sort of a mid-point between Palladors and Dracoths.
  14. So I don't get it, unless I'm missing something Solbright is literally just a Lord-Arcanum with a different spell for 20pts cheaper. Firestrike doesn't look worth the cost at all. Plus the Tauralon face is weird.
