Respectfully I disagree, Stormcast have taken a beating lore-wise over the past couple of editions. If a schism happens with them that's just the cherry on top of the cake and a lot of people will be wondering why they play the faction when they just get dumped on in the lore. I'm pretty sure the Ossiarchs were made by Nagash to be his Stormcast after he messed about with some of their souls he captured. If Deathcast eternals did become a thing, they would probably fall under Nagash since GW don't really seem to want to introduce any other large death gods to rival him and he wouldn't let them have much personality, they would most likely be automatons. Alas this isn't a lore thread so we should probably keep discussion on this light 😊

From looking at it it just seemed like there was the two teams so I'm assuming death/destruction can declare for whoever they want to!

So eh funnily enough I popped into my local GW today (not going to mention where, because I don't want the manager to get in trouble) and the manager was talking about this, showed us a campaign pack where each store is given a city and players have to sign up on the side of order to found and defend a free city or on the side of chaos to kill the Dawnbringer crusade/destroy the city after its founding, looks like there is a fair bit of depth to it!

No worries, didn't see it as harsh or anything 😊 Completely understandable that it might be easier for you to see the differences if it's part of your job, the more I look at it the more I agree!

It looks like it's a Jes Goodwin sketch which is as official as warhammer concept art can get (unless it's a well doctored fake, I haven't seen this image before until now)

Absolutely, that's the last thing AoS needs! I'm kind of apprehensive about letting Chaos into Azyr as well, I think it would be fine if it was just the Skaven, but if the realm goes into complete open warfare I'm a bit afraid they'll kind of write themselves into the whole 'inevitable chaos victory' box. However I have infinitely more faith in the writing team for AoS than the other systems, so it'll be interesting to see what they come up with!

Very much looking forward to the new edition and seeing all the new skaven/stormcast goodies! Not going to lie though, I am a bit worried with how the lore is going, feels a little like they are just trying to make AoS a reskinned 40k. Might just be me missing the kind of hopeful feeling of earlier editions though. I thought Be'lakor messing with the reforging process kind of sucked at the time (actually happy with how it turned out in the long run though) as it messed with the Stormcast's thing that made them unique, so I'm really hoping they don't completely mess it up and that Sigmar's 'lie' is just about skaven being in Azyr or something.

Okay and that's your opinion, as other people have pointed out in other threads NPE is entirely subjective but you can't seem to realise that and imagine that every hobbyist has the same opinion as your own like this example that was posted in the LRL rules discussion: the LRL do frankly have a stupid and ignorant design philisophy that is disheartening for ANYONE playing against them. What these comments do however is make a lot of people who spend a lot of money on their army and a lot of time to make them look cool, look like WAAC power gamers who want to make their opponent rage quit. Warhammer is a social hobby, and comments like the ones you have made on these forums might lose these people games or even friends in some gaming circles, that's why I have an issue with it, so think about how you word things and actually try to offer solutions.
