  1. Thank you. So you think it's a valid try? It has a pretty low model count so I'm a little doubtful, on the other hand this allows me to get Nurgle games in quickly, because the paintwork is tolerable.
  2. Hey guys, how viable is it for Nurgle to mix Demon's and Rotbringers? You'll miss out batallions, but Blightkings and Plaguebearers are such solid core units, I would feel bad if I left one of them out. How would this list do as a first 1000 pt. list: Allegiance: Nurgle Leaders Great Unclean One (340) Chaos Lord On Daemonic Mount (140) Battleline 5 x Putrid Blightkings (160) 5 x Putrid Blightkings (160) Units 3 x Plague Drones (200) Total: 1000 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 20 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 78 I'd use the CL with the flies and hope that the Bell and the FGM trees get the BK's in combat quickly. I was also thinking about taking Gutrod instead of the CL. I actually got 10 BK'S and an GUO painted, so I'm planning my next move to get some games in quickly and expand from there.
  3. Aw, these are lovely. What did you use for the base skin tone (without the infection and soreness effect)?
  4. The WIzcast, Hangman ghost and ghast-caller belong to which faction? Would you be so kind and link me to the information you have just given? I was planning to dive into the Death-Range recently. While I always loved the Death theme, I realized after unpacking my Death Rattle SC! that they have a pretty outdated feel to them (especially skeletons). I'm not sure if I wanna go all-in with hundreds of €'s or rather wait for a new release. My local GW-Clerk told me there is supposingly more AOS stuff coming this year than 40k stuff. But the skeleton models will probably remain a few years longer .
  5. Hi Chris, thanks for your response! You can definetely tell that the chipping took a lot of time and effort. I was pretty sure you used a dark metal color and washed it down, instead of basecoating all black. Of course you did an excellent job with the green skin, too. Skin is some of the hardest technique for me and your results are flawless. I hope it comes through patience and practice. Not painting skin was one of the factors for me to choose Death (and Necrons), though. I just noticed that I accidentally posted in the wrong thread of yours. The Phoenix is very impressive, I already saw it on the picture gallery preview. The feathers most have taken aeons of time. Even more so that you are an all-brush-painter, which I support, because I just don't like airbrushing, even if it makes things easier. Have a good day.
  6. Hi Chris, I am here to tell you, that I thorouhly enjoy your painting work. You have a very clean and detailed style of painting and as far as I can tell, you are mostly using the brush and not the airbrush. It ist really nice to see that the good old brush can produce those amazing results. I enjoy your battle reports too, even if I am not playing IJ. As I am here right now, I wanted to ask you which colour you used for the armor of your black sunz. Especially the dark metallic foundation is really intriguing since I am looking to paint some Black Knights and grave guard. The dark armor theme would be really nice looking on them. Have a nice day.
  7. "goofy, goofier, goofiest - giant turtle with elves on top paddling over a battlefield" Usually I'm really tolerant, but I just can't compromise on this one. I'm sorry.
  8. That flying turtel is so goofy, it ruins the whole picture...
  9. Not so much than unifying the ruleset of both games imho.
  10. I'm curious about the skaven approach, since I always used to think they're a pretty neglected fan favorite, too. Maybe we're wrong and their not a fan favorite in sales. Like in every 40K some Troll feels obligated to mention 'sisters of battle', who were never bought by anyone, anytime, on any given life supporting planet.
  11. There were some "they" who inserted that word in this omnious word list, considering it inappropriate, though.
  12. The Death Hearld looks like pure awesomeness. Seriously a beautiful sculpt. The Warqueen lacks interest, it's not a very intriguing model. No relevant features except of ******. But we get that enough in literally every niche of our life. Sad, since I play chaos. Edit: Wow, they indeed just censored the word 'B*reasts' (No, not T*ts..., br*easts.)
  13. Thanks alot for this comprehensive and quick answer mate! Keep your good work up.
  14. Hey Lysan, I followed this thread and you did a great job, painting clean and good looking miniatures. I really love to see armies on the table, people actually put effort and Herzblut in. I have a somewhat peculiar question about basedesign. I am never satisfied with my bases, I am basically searching for a clean baselook, which doesn't take hours to create put looks appropriate to an above TT standard. So I'd like to ask how you did the Khorne Blood Bound snowy bases. The colors and material you used for them. I like the look quit a bit and this might be exactly what I'm looking for. Cheers
