  1. Today I got my first post brexit order from GW. I was really happy to see I didn't have to pay any taxes or duty when it arrived. I know at work we have had stuff from the UK arrive requiring extra payment, so this was good!
  2. Hi ThalmorRepresentative , really loving your deepkin! I didn't get about to posting a pledge this month, but I hope to get as much seraphon worked on as I can. Lizards were my first fantasy army and I dug up a load of them unpainted during a clean up recently. It looks like contrast really suits them nicely.
  3. I'd agree with Jymmy, black would look pretty good for your deepkin
  4. So my first lot of stuff, the reapers. First time using the snow basing stuff but I think it turned out ok.
  5. Ok, so I'm feeling this month, the following is my to-do list. 10 grimghast reapers 1 knight of shrouds on mount 5 saurus guard 5 Sequitors 5 spacemarine intersessors 1 stormcast character, I'm looking at the store birthday character, the girl with the glaive
  6. Hey guys, I have recently been gifted with one of the army painter mega paint sets, the 50 paint one. So, it all looks cool, and the idea of dropper bottles sounds interesting, but I'm not sure how to start. Is there anything I should know first? How do they compare to the GW paints that I usually would use. Thanks for any helps!
  7. So, got even further building night haunt This pic is all my mortal realms magazines night haunt stuff plus two soulwars. Also, I did my first tester model, so any suggestions, comments or anything welcome here!
  8. So, I got these guys built, just this weeks magazine to go, but I only got that today. There is a little missing due to supply issues over the lock down. Basically I missed the terrain and the harridans. Still I'm happy with what I've got.
  9. Not quite painting, but I have not really touched all my mortal realms magazines and I need to get on it! So my pledge is to build as much as I can to get me up to date. Stretch goal is to actually put paint to these guys too.
  10. Just a small bit done since my last post, a beastlord! I like this guy in a kind of understated way, he's not big or too stand out but he's still pretty cool. EDIT: Pictures not great
  11. Thanks for the positive responses guys! And yeah, I love the old pumbagore, one of my favourites from old fantasy.
  12. Been a busy week, but I managed to finish up the pig. Huzzah!
  13. So I had such good intentions with lockdown for painting, but I felt unmotivated after a while being unable to actually hang out with other hobbyists, but last week I decided to add to my favourite force and bought some beastmen to get me excited again! I got these built over the weekend and the pig and Kazrak sprayed. First thing to do is try get the pig done.
  14. Nice work Kramer! As for my pledge, progress has been made and I'll post pictures in the morning. Basically all my building is done, I got into the building too so I finished off the night haunt part of soulwars and I have 5 sequitors painted. Pics to follow
  15. I hope to have a productive month this time, so I pledge to build my stormcast army! Lord on Dracolion 5 Sequitors 5 Sequitors 5 Sequitors 5 Sequitors 5 evocoters 5 evocoters 3 dracolions 3 dracolions For painting, I'd like to pledge 10 sequitors, but the stretch goal is to do as much of this as I can.
  16. So, a huge thanks guys, this was a more indepth response then I expected @Alladinthepaladin That storm host does sound like a good idea, with the new command abilities having the command points could be really useful. Losing the formation seems like it may be the way to go, and adding in a Knight Heraldor could be something. Looking at its abilities it gets to do what my beastmen shaman does, just without having to cast it! @readercolin Its a really helpful reply there. The shooting army you use seems pretty cool, and I may try go that way later, but for now I'll keep on track with this lot! Again, I think you're right about the formation, it doesnt fit what I have to be worth the points. Also, making the kittens into one unit seems like a better idea, more buffable, I just always worry with large base models that I wont be getting enough models in range to fight. I guess now its just a matter of getting things built and on the table to give some of these things an old realy life try!
  17. Thanks guys! Regarding splitting one unit into two Sequitors, it is kind of embarrassing I didn't click it before. As for making a ten man evocators unit I will try that for sure once I get some games in(And all the models built too). The mortal wound output for a ten man squad is pretty awesome and something my beastmen did not do well at all. For Staunch defender I'd have to have my general with the Sequitors and Evocators, not the dracolion cavalry, wouldn't that were he would rather be? Finally, if I dump the formation, that leaves me with 160 points. Just by models I have, I could dump a ballista in there, or six castigators or... something else?
  18. Hi! I'm a long time beasts of chaos army and was looking to start something totally new this year and figured I couldn't go to far wrong with stormcast, and with that Christmas box bought I think I'm ready to go. So far I have the following in mind, but I need to jig it to be legal battle line wise. Anyway, here is what I'm thinking so far. Allegiance: Stormcast EternalsLeadersLord-Arcanum on Celestial Dracoline (220)Knight-Incantor (140)BattlelineUnits5 x Evocators (220)5 x Evocators (220)10 x Sequitors (260)- Stormsmite Mauls and Soulshields10 x Sequitors (260)- Stormsmite Mauls and Soulshields3 x Evocators on Dracolines (260)3 x Evocators on Dracolines (260)BattalionsCleansing Phalanx (120)Total: 1960 / 2000Extra Command Points: 1Allies: 0 / 400Wounds: 112 On top of this I have the contents of the soul war starter set and ten more liberators and a Lord Castelent. Any help is welcome, especially on storm hosts that would work best with what I've got! Thanks guys
  19. So with the new points changes I now have 100 extra points for my list. This has left me with a few thoughts. The first is to get a cockatrice, for 100 points they look really cool. However the problem with that is it makes me a three drop rather then two drop list. The second option is just buy a command point and leave 50 points for a triumph. The third option is to try put some endless spells in there as my list has two shamans to cast with. Any suggestions?
  20. So, 5 chaos warriors done, need to base them but I'm pretty happy with how they turned out!
  21. I generally run two units of 10 man ungor raiders to ambush turn one. This may just be because of how my local area goes but I have found them useful. Great against any kind of war machines, nice for picking off a weak support character or even just being a pain that needs to be dealt with, distracting a proper unit to go after them or threatening an objective. Their shooting isn't bad either, like, 4's then 4's at 18" with 6's being two hits is pretty nice, the range I think is the big surprise with their shots.
  22. My slaves to darkness Christmas box has been looking so sad in the hobby drawer so I cracked it open to day and I am painting up a test warrior. Hopefully I'll have a pic of him up in a little bit.
  23. So it has been a while since I posted here and I promise I have got more done, but I finished this guy tonight and thought I should put him up! Chariot, progress!
  24. Way back when I started I was told in the store. "You can spend the rest of your life painting the backs of shields" and I figured it was pretty good advise, especially for someone only starting like I was.
