So what would people recommend as additions to Maw Krusha and Kragnos in a 2k list for a bit of a throwaway day of fun with friends? 1200 points already spent doesn’t allow for much extra. Bunch of brutes? Bother with a caster at this point?

Do many people have good suggestions how to run them at 1000? Local shop is going to run some 1000 point comps and I’m yet to actually play 3.0.

So coming back to ironjawz having not played them in Aos 2.0 and picked up the current battletome. Some big changes to ardboyz I see with only the one profile. General consensus now a drummer and banner in every squad and max no of shields? Also do the banner, shield etc all still get 2 attacks each or drop down to one. Doesn’t specifically state anywhere I could see. Thanks all - keen to play 3.0!

That’s it - more wounds makes us more survivable at the lower point levels. Bonuses from the battalions aren’t there really I think.

Hard to say. I’ve always found 1000 point games tough. In AoS1 I always ran the battalion but now in v2 I can’t help but think they’re too expensive an investment at this points cost when you could run 2 warchanters or an extra unit of brutes. I need to play a lot more 1000 point games myself and figure out what works best.

Have a local comp coming up soon - not looking to win or anything, just looking to play something that might be a bit of fun. It’s an ultra competitive group and am really not worried where I place (as the more hardcore players will be running some full on lists). With that in mind this is what I’ve come up with. I wonder if you’d get more benefit from dropping the iron fist and running with some warchanters instead for buffs?

I’m not sure how to post lists like everyone else does (is there a easy way?) But I’ve been testing the 1000 points recently with a megaboss, 2 warchanters, 2 brutes and 2 gore gruntas with mixed success. It’s 950 points so get 1 extra CP which helps but kind of feel the need for more bodies on the table. Dropping a chanter gets me 130 points spare which I’m tempted to throw in a unit of 20 shootas for fun.

Did I see that the fungoid is now 90 points?

Damn the points changes kind of ruin the lists ive been working with. Either way, good idea or not, am def keen to ally in some troggoth!

Awesome - just found them thanks! So the realm section of the main core rulebook - you dont get any advantages from that, thats only if both sides choose to fight in a particular realm?

Just have a question - been playing a lot of 8th ed 40k, so picking up Sigmar 2.0 now, and I notice many people here are declaring a mortal realm withe their lists. How does that work? All I could see in the rulebook was both sides select where/which realm the battle is taking place in and that rule applies. Or is there something im missing that lets everyone select a realm to use?
