  1. Many thanks, great-mighty lord Screech
  2. Hello fellow mortal realmers, just wanted to bring this petition to light in case anyone had missed. A somewhat desperate attempt to save our beloved faction that will prob not result in anything - but it may at least send a message to GW that people will rise up when they axe a faction and betray its loyal fans just like that. cheers! https://www.change.org/p/prevent-the-cancellation-of-beasts-of-chaos-faction-in-age-of-sigmar-4e
  3. I donโ€™t like all this talk about my poor goats getting axed ๐Ÿ˜ข seem weird that theyโ€™d have BoC as a fully fledged TOW faction and not have them in AoS๐Ÿค” especially since we actually got a new model with latest battletome. atleast have them as a sub-faction for ST2๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ
  4. This, space marine II and ashes of creation (non-warhammer) are the only games I have any interest in at all. reminds me of DoW which ofc is very positive, lots of potential given all the different factions and realms AoS has. canโ€™t wait!
  5. Greetings! I wanna generally improve so im trying to find the best place for netlists/meta crunching and general tactics tips to improve on the game. Preferably something that is being updated consistently. Any tips? Cheers!
  6. Yo! Doug does gods work out there, but im trying to find other YT channels that covers AoS lore - any suggestions? Cheers!
  7. I am happy to say that you guys swayed my opinion on this. Currently biting into some audio dramas and general lore, and what I found is interesting: this is NOT WHFB. As obvious as that might sound, it actually clicked for me just recently. This is a new setting that is supposed to be and feel different than WHFB. And I honestly just learned to appreciate that, just like a enjoy settings like LOTR or warcraft. As soon as i stopped comparing it to something its not even designed to be - it kinda just clicks! Thanks guys! Im excited now!
  8. one of my biggest issues with this game ATM is the uninspired way EVERYTHING seemingly causes MWs: spells, effects, abilities etc. its like as soon as anything is supposed to be/do something special, the end result is almost always MWs like they cant come up with any other effect. Some stuff could just be for example auto-hits with a very high rend, cause debuffs, carnage wounds etc Id like mortal wounds to be "truly mortal" again and not seen on every other ability/warscroll, it gets watered down
  9. I would honestly just like to see more granularity to the game: SOME rerolls not go overboard with it, having spells/effects/abilities do something else than just mortal wounds in some way or another, items costing pts
  10. My main problem with AoS has always been the lore. I love the gameplay! Many units/models are really cool - not everything is perfect ofc, but in general there are many armies I really vibe with. But Ive never been able to shake that feeling of the lore and setting just being thrown together as an "experiment" to see if it would sell. WHFB was uninspired in many ways no doubt (I mean the world map is pretty much earth with each corresponding culture in their places) but it had a more grounded feeling and events/actions had weight and meaning. I stumbled on this video and the man said pretty much my every thought on the setting. I feel kinda depressed because I WANT to like the setting because it has so much potential, but currently it just feels thrown together with minimal effort so we have something at least to throw dice within (basically what he says in the vid). However, Im now looking for any information that would change my mind. Is he right about what hes saying in the video? If not, please help me see why I should care about AoS, because I really, really want to. Cheers! The vid:
  11. Greetings! Ive just returned to AoS after a ca 3-4 year break since 40k consumed my heart. However, with the current state of 40k 9th (a bloated mess) I have just rediscovered AoS again, and the main draw for me now is that the gamplay seems so incredibly fun! Alot more random and lighthearted than 40k, yet has room for competative play - love it. My only problem now though is that I still find the lore of AoS to be shallow, over the top etc (you know the common complaints from most WHFB and 40k players from when AoS first released). That said, I can see that alot has happened since my last visit, and Iยดd like to find some sort of recap of the lore to see if it would appeal to me more this time around. From what ive heard, the lore has been expanded and seemingly improved, but ive yet to see it for myself. This is why I turn to you for help! I genuinely WANT to like the AoS setting in its entirety, and I think reading the right novels/stories could help me with just that. Armies I play and would like to explore more: Beasts of Chaos, Soulblight Gravelords and Skaven. So give me your best reading/youtubing tips! I wanna dive deep into the mortal realms and come to love it as I do with WHFB, 30k and 40k. Cheers! http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-72fmu4R3Sw0/VgrTPUDxu9I/AAAAAAAAH_M/S389jFTRpV4/s1600/battle.jpg
  12. Yeeess ***** finally!! I wonder if its gonna be like blight war but centered around death instead
  13. hmm i see, thats weird.. I'm not a big tournament-goer myself, but i was under the impression that KO was really strong, but thats only speaking from personal experience ofc. but has this actually been attempted by anyone yet? imo doesn't really seem like GW to correct something potentially broken before people actually starts doing it
  14. So if i am to understand the warpstone spark rule right: i could now potentially make 12 mortal wounds with a warpfire thrower team?
  15. Well my heart bleeds for you Tom? But i have to agree, seems a bit cheesy
  16. Noooo?? give something for the people that want dark elves, duardin or free peoples!! Not every order player wants stormcast, even if theyre good. Dont mess it up with SC wich everyone who wants already has! Why couldnt these armies just get start collectings? Now with GH2 and allegience ab. itd be great timing
  17. im very optimistic! yes - discount for fielding 40 or whatever of something is a boost for basic infantry, and perhaps the best way to make horde armies truly viable. however, bigger stuff with bigger damage output will still wipe the carpet with these units, even if theyre 10man stronger now. i dunno, i just dont think itll make an impact big enough to boost infantry based horde armies to the skies, just make them a bit more viable. on another note: why even keep stuff in pointless dangler-factions if we can just borrow (allies) from them anyway? i find that limitation wierd and unecessary tbh. sure, bonesplitterz and beastclaw is one thing, but deathmages? swifthawk? shadowblades? edit: i see now why allies limitations are good, to break up OP mixes from grand alliances. still, some stuff shouldnt be keps seperated from atleast one "main faction". deathmages - deathlords/rattle. shadowblades - darkling covenants/daighters of khaine. etc.
  18. Looks very 40k imperiel/cultist ish to me.. but i pray its death
  19. thought of that too, but unfortunately i think its just a coincidence
  20. yea id agree. those nurglish feet we got some time back - tho i doubt im the first to point this out, but look at the nurgle beast in the far down left corner looks like something that could be used for both systems
