FRIDAY AT THE GRAND SLAM The venue will be open from midday till midnight on the Friday before the event. As well as casual gaming and Friday Night Magic for you MTG Fiends we will be running the Friday Night Open. Full details below but the Open is essentially a 3 round 1000point AoS event you can play by yourself or as a Doubles. The Open starts around 1800hrs and your entrance fee is included in your main event ticket. Prizes to be won! FRIDAY NIGHT MAGIC INFORMATION Element Games will be running Friday Night Magic so if you’re a MtG Fan check out the schedule on the WPN, see what’s on and if you fancy it bring your deck down! Promo cards to be won! CASUAL GAME INFORMATION Tables will be available for pick-up games. Please ask a member of the admin team which tables are free. There is no charge to play, we do ask however you return the terrain to how it was set-up. Also the painting station will be free to use for anyone with last minute painting to complete! FRIDAY NIGHT OPEN EVENT INFORMATION The Friday Night Open will be using the Generals Handbook. Armies are selected from the Matched Play pitched battle profiles with a Vanguard with a maximum of 1000 points. Only Warscrolls and Warscroll Battalions with Pitched Battle profiles will be included in the event. As the Friday Night Open is a bit of fun you can enter this as 1 single player with a 1000pts, or a pair with a 500pt force each (different grand alliances permitted). If you enter as a pair you combine your forces in regards to the compulsory choices for a Vanguard. You can’t however share points between the two forces. Missions and deployments will be announced at the beginning of each round by the Organisers. Players will be drawn randomly for the first round with a ‘Swiss system’ being used to determine pairings for rounds 2-3. The Event is made up of THREE 1.5 hour Rounds.
