    The Bobo Pack

Not a fan of the 1st turn change, but aside from that think it looks great.

I think you could Romhi. Possibly a bit overkill though? Doesn't Dreadwood do it pretty well by itself?

    AoS 2 - Sylvaneth Discussion

The idea I had in my head was putting them in a wood in/near your own deployment. If you walked them in, then they wouldn't need deadly tests. Might be an issue with magic casting nearby though, I agree.

    AoS 2 - Sylvaneth Discussion

@dmorley21 I'm starting off with Ironbark, so think it could work. I agree, I like the idea of 20 Ironbreakers (If you can get them into a Wyldwood, that should be a nice combo!) I actually would combine them with a Runelord - the 6+ ward save on them is cool, as is the boosted dispel, especially now it's 30"! The only thing I would note, is these will limit you elsewhere. I don't know what else you fancied taking, but I would put aside Alarielle, for example. Treelord: 240 Tree Revenants (2 x 5): 160 Branchwych: 80 Ironbark (inc Household): 180 Ironbreakers: 280 (I think?) Runelord: 100 =1040

Re rolling your teleport charge is great, think you're missing that point. As can some of the Endless Spells.

    AoS 2 - Sylvaneth Discussion

I think Throne of Vines is a great shout as her Sylvaneth spell, because of what you are discussing above. Cast that first, then she's still got two more to cast after. Also agree that Sisters of the Thorn have held their value. Shield was a hit, but having to attack makes up for it. A TLA from Gnarlroot, with +1 save artefact, can grind out a lot of units just through mortal wounds.

    Let's Chat Sylvaneth

Would you agree Nico that dwarf warriors in this would count as battleline?

    Let's Chat Sylvaneth

Yep! I think they even count as battleline if they're generic battleline. It's what I'm starting off AoS 2 running. Good luck this weekend with the trees at doggers.
  9. I'm definitely interested.

    Let's Chat Sylvaneth

Loving all these changes for Sylvaneth. Really excited to get the trees back out again. I'm going a bit left-field and trying an Ironbark list to begin with (might be of interest to you @dmorley21) Durthu: oaken armour, gnarled warrior Alarielle: throne of vines Branchwych: acorn of the ages, verdant blessing 40 dwarf warriors 5 tree revenants 5 tree revenants Treelord Endless spell: chromatic cogs Household Ironbark Wargrove 1980 Think lots more options out there for us, which is great.

I agree with most of what you're saying, @Bohemond. I agree it seems to be a creep to some armies being 2k + a bit. Two points I disagree with, Sylvaneth have always been like this with the Woods. I remember my first tourney turning up with 3 (I think) and quickly realising it was nowhere near enough. 1st few friendly games I played with none! Similarly, don't like the idea of a limit on them. The limit comes from the terrain and spell limits. I take 9 along with me, never got beyond 7 put down, and that was exceptional.

With the hit to shooting, Morathis long spell range in mini form seems to have got better comparatively too. Actually take off some support characters. Considering whether Pit of Shades could actually be useful for that purpose.

    Let's chat: Daughters of Khaine

Had a fun time with the DoK this weekend at LGT. Managed to be top of the pile after day 1, but ended up losing both games on day 2, so ended up 13th of 60 odd players. Great fun to play with and nice to have an army that is so smashy. The two dilemmas I had post tourney was Morathi and Hag Narr/Khailebron. Particularly with the new Look Out Sir rules and general way shooting has been hit, -1 seems less important. Whilst the teleport was great, two games I lost due to lack of survivability. Morathi was great in duality, and she is a tough roadblock, but the problem I found was that it was far too easy to put 3 wounds on her for the opponent - they could do it with chaff or shooting, or even a bit of magic. Didn't take a lot. Considering the following as a result, with Hag Nar (which would involve admitting I'm wrong, haha!) Allegiance: Daughters Of KhaineLeadersBloodwrack Shrine (220)- GeneralSlaughter Queen on Cauldron Of Blood (330)Hag Queen (60)Hag Queen (60)Battleline20 x Blood Sisters (480)30 x Witch Aelves (270)- Pairs of Sacrificial Knives10 x Witch Aelves (100)- Pairs of Sacrificial KnivesUnits5 x Doomfire Warlocks (160)- Lore of Shadows: None5 x Khinerai Heartrenders (80)5 x Khinerai Heartrenders (80)5 x Doomfire Warlocks (160)- Lore of Shadows: NoneTotal: 2000 / 2000Allies: 0 / 400Wounds: 146

That's really similar to the list I've been running Dante. List Witches, with Warlocks and more Heartrenders. Similar to waht I'll be taking to London GT, hopefully, later this month. Couple of changes on the spells etc. The 20 Sisters have just been filth so far, loadsa fun.

Not going to bother getting into an argument with you Wooly M. You clearly prefer Hagg Narr, that's far enough. I think you're massively underselling both the benefits of -1 and the teleport.
