  1. I was going to reply in a certain way but it's not worth the ban. This is way beyond the worst case scenario I had in mind.
  2. I think it's probably a fine mechanic for people who play a lot and can learn to plan ahead and deal with it effectively. It's a complete disaster for casual players. Most of my games are decided by the double turn largely because I only get to play 1-2 times a month max. I could decide to just not use it but starting to chop rules out of the game is something that I don't want to get into. I would try to play AOS more if it went away.
  3. I have about 25 old metal slayers and the old Daemon Slayer. I am thinking of running them as Vulkite Berzerkers and a Grimwrath Berzerker respectively. Am I being a bit cheeky? I love these models and hate leaving them to rot. Also I did my part.
  4. Chaos Lord on Manticore with the -3 rend realm artifacts (shadow and metal) is suddenly able to hurt things. It really opens up options.
  5. It's unclear regarding the Plaguetouched Warband. The highlighted part of the answer can be read on its own and it clearly rules out the use of the warband for Nurgle allegiance armies. If this is the case then only Grand Alliance Chaos armies can use it as Everchosen don't have the models (could be wrong here). However in the context of the question about allies in battalions, it may not apply to PTWB because that doesn't use allies. It's for the sitatuion where you want to bring an Artillery detachment in a Free Guild allegiance army, that is clearly not possible anymore. The former seems correct unfortunately but it needs to be clarified. Given that last week I specifically bought Chaos Knights and Blight Kings and converted up some STD heroes so that I could use this battalion I am pretty pissed off right now.
  6. The fragmentation of our army is very regrettable. The 400 points of allies is very precious and for that reason there are some units that I will just never use again, Flagellants are a good example. GW need to get their act together on this. As bad as Freeguild have it, it's just outrageous if you're an old High Elf player. We also suffer from their refusal to spruce up old warscrolls. You mentioned Demigryph Knights. They went from being tough, reliable damage dealers to ... what? What are they supposed to do? A lot of the old monstrous cavalry such as Demis, Bloodcrushers, Skullcrushers and Dragon Ogres have pathetic damage output and have all become this strange low damage, medium durability, reasonably fast, totally boring units that have big cool models. Demis at the very least need 3+ to hit on their lance, -1 rend on the halberd and -2 rend on the Talons. The Steam Tank is down to 240 points so I may try to use it again but alas it feels so feeble compared to the engine of destruction that it was. I have no idea if a battletome is on the way. I look at the model range and I just don't see GW promoting it. Maybe we get a whole new set of models for our core units but I just don't see it happening.
