  1. How about chewing through over 100 wounds with decent buffs? Zarbag - Hand of Gork Fungoid Cave-Shaman - itchy nucience 7 x Zarbag's Gitz 5 x Loonsmasha Fanatics 60 x Stabbas - Pokin Spears & Moon Shields 20 x Stabbas - Stabbas & Moon Shields 5 x Sporesplatta Fanatics All of this is exactly 1000points
  2. The only thing to remember with your lists is the orruk warboss can't have an artifact. But i really like both the Kopp Ruk and Snagga Ruk. If going for Drakfoot definitly look at some endless spells because of the number of casters you have as well as the ability to have the spells go off even if you roll snake eyes.
  3. If you do get a start collecting i would advise looking at the thundertusk, as the ability to take out small heros is something gutbusters have trouble with. If you do want the stonehorn build as a huskard, as it's ability to mess with the flow of combat is huge, just make sure you run the mournfang as one unit if doing so.
  4. The biggest problem with bonesplitters imo is the fact that they have so little access to rend. That coupled with the fact that their infantry is less effective than gitmob grots. Just a look at the base stats of mor boys and savage orruks and compare them to grots. Savage orruks are just as durrable but with half the attacks, and those attacks aren't too different. Morboys have the same number of attacks, but are much harder to get all the attacks in range and are still more expensive. And gitmob have easy access to rend as well. Bonesplitterz have a few more tricks up their sleave but i fail to see why they have no access to rend outside of big stabbas.
  5. For what they bring to the table i think they are good value. Great back feild unit or cheep screen for a bigger model. I think the best use for them is the second unit you want to hand of mork. First turn you do 60 grots with fanatics, second turn use the gitz to plug a small gap after they have done t1-2 screening for you. Being a smaller unit they are easier to fit into the gaps that apear after the first turn or 2. Think of them as a mooncap sham and a min squig herd (same price) they provide so much more utility.
  6. What are peoples thoughts on the loonking in a mixed destruction list. I know you loose out on his CA, but meh he generates an average 1cp a turn casts 2 spells and can use the cauldron for +2 for cast and unbind not to mention access to all the nice shiny new spells. Need a bit more time to work on a list i would be happy with but it sounds like a good starting point.
  7. What you have is the setup for a Olwyr Alfrostun Battalion, if you have 6 mournfang there is your 2000 point list. as to your question, they are all fine. The most optimal would probably be the oppisite of what you have but the margin isn't great. i love the huskard on stonehorn when used in combination with a big unit (4+) of mournfang as anything able to alter the order of combat is huge imo.
  8. Depending on the size of the wolf units they can do a bit with sneaky stabbing. But normal gitmob grots do really well as archers.
  9. I hope people realise i was having a go at GW with their wording and not @EddieWouldGo You have reached the conclusion that GW writes things as clear as mud.
  10. Fair enough, I missunderstood then. Didn't realise you had others already done. Also that bastilladon word work well as a butched with cauldron
  11. I love the conversions, but would of thought keeping things just as tyranids for mounts would of worked a bit better than adding in some other stuff. So for stonehorn gone for either the Toxicrene or the Mawloc/Trygon and for Mournfang going with Tyrant Guard, Raveners or Venomthropes. Would of been cool having all the Tentacles everywhere. That is my 2c and if you like your Idea stick with it because so far it looks really good, and the colours really look good for the Jungle theme, like the Light green markings on the Shell, maybe look at doing a few more.
  12. Ahh you see, this is where GW gets you. Unbinding happens when an opponent casts a spell in their hero phase, giving you a chance to negate it. But Dispelling is to remove an endless spell model off the table in your hero phase, this also costs the wizard doing it a spell cast attempt. So they can have different rules even if they are very similar. Should they be the same? Probably. Are they? Sadly No.
  13. With Endless spells/spells in general no line of sight is needed to unbind the cast just need to be withis 30inch. To use the cogs wizard needs to be within 9inch to alter time, no line of sight needed and effects the whole board until your next hero phase. To dispel the endless spell the wizard needs to be within 30inch and be able to see the spell.
  14. If you want to add variaty to Beastclaws, you need to look at the Beasthammer or go down the path @PlasticCraic is talking. When you go into mixed destruction path, i like to add a unit gitmob grot battleline with the normal ogors, gives lots of board control that beastclaws sometimes lack. I do find you can get a decent mix of units if you run an iceborn hunter as your general, makes 40 point frost sabres battleline and then easy to fit in more allies because of the new 1in4 rule.
  15. I like your lists quite a lot, you do have some nice synergies in the lists. Only thing i would say in regards to artifacts is have a look at some of the realm artifacts, espesially on the Tyrant. The combo you have on the hag looks good, haven't played any games with her so i can't comment too much. But with the tyrant look at running Might is right as the trait for +1 to wound and Ghyrstrike from Ghyran for +1 to hit and wound. Would mean the Gutgourger triggers on a 4+ to wound or a 3+ if you are lucky and get the correct big name.
  16. Looks good, but i would either find a way for a second spear chuka (they are so much better with a second one) or just drop it and change your MBMK for Goddrack, That would be a better use of the gorefist. I think the 140 points you have tied up in the spear chuka as it is, is wasted and could be used better in nearly any way, 3 more gruntas would also be fine.
  17. Yes you are correct. After reading the core rules FAQ i saw red and stopped reading the FAQ's for a while. GW has done a great job in answering and fixing problems in the game, but really need to clean up the mess of books there are. To play AOS 2.0 pitched battle you need 3 rulebooks plus the faq AND commentary for them (6 additional documents) plus the battletomes for the armies your using and the faq AND commentary for them for a total of up to 15 books/documents so you can make sure you are playing the game correctly. This is Just obsurd.
  18. I understand that some people where playing it that way, i never did as i always saw this interpritatiom as incorrect from the start. Also the store where i played at had both of these rulings, i know gw is ambigus with their rules sometimes but the wording on this one was correct. People where getting the wrong idea from comments on the community site. Also My other comment is incorrect i need to get rid of it. GW and their constant dumb idea to have rules in 18 different places.
  19. Don't know why everyone thinks that is a change to pile in. It was written that way from the start, you can't wrap your unit around another unit but that was always the case. The rule was designed so you could shuffle a few guys so you could get more attacks in OR move around a big monster to encircle it. Edit: Removed FAQ answer from core rules as the FAQ from Generals handbook means we are all good again, crisis averted.
  20. Your list looks like alot of fun. You do seem a little light on bodies, but that is what play testing is all about. I'm a big fan of mixed destruction, also consider Shyish for the ethereal amulet on the Wyvern boss. 4+ rerollable ignore rend is hard to get through. The other artifacts are mostly middle of the road ones, but it only has one really bad one (chronehair fetish). Personally i would preffer the night gobo sham over the warchanter, the +2 to cast can be very important to make sure you get cogs. Then once you are in combat you have the oportunity to have 4 spells in one turn (2 at +2 as well), not many people pack the ability to dispell that many.
  21. I feel in 1000 point games the giant is just too swingy. He either does heaps or nothing which in 1000 points is not what your looking for. But then in 2000 points running 2 i believe is worth it. Actually i would run 2 giants in 1000 points over 1 giant. 2 giants and 6 ogors is 560 points don't bother with a tyrant or ironguts, i would probs just grab 40 grots another 3 ogors and a firebelly to round out the list. Actually sounds like fun must try it.
  22. Depends if i'm running Huskard on stonehorn. If yes deffinitly the 4 man unit, the ability to have them both fight first is huge. List i would use: Huskard on stonehorn 4 mournfang Thundertusk beastriders If i run a iceborn hunter and frost sabres, then yes the 4-6 man unit because that would be my main hammer unit. Anything else and probs just 2x2
  23. I think beasthammer has a good spot in the metta at the moment. Easiest way to get reliable to hit buff which both armies need. I would build it a touch differently; Allegiance: Beastclaw Raiders LEADERS Frostlord on Stonehorn (420) Icebrow Hunter (140) - General Butcher (140) - Allies Butcher (140) - Allies UNITS 4 x Mournfang Pack (320) -Gargant Hackers 2 x Mournfang Pack (160) -Gargant Hackers 2 x Frost Sabres (40) 2 x Frost Sabres (40) 3 x Orruk Gore Gruntas (140) 3 x Orruk Gore Gruntas (140) BATTALIONS Braggoth's Beast Hammer (230) ENDLESS SPELLS Chronomantic Cogs (60) Malevolent Maelstrom (20) I like the felexability of the couple of frost sabres add. You could drop tye spells and wizzards to go heavier on a skall, but i think i preffer the wizards.
  24. We are all human, mistakes happen. They guy did the right thing when he realised. No need to blow up about it. Pretty sure even his opponents at the tournie would understand it was an oversight that he is sorry for. Most people in this hobby do it for fun and realise mistakes, rule errors happen at every level of play. The difference is how people respond to their mistakes and the mistakea of others. If the giy said too bad so sad it is my win deal with it, it is the TO's fault that he didn't realise than your comment would be valid as there is no place for an attitude like that in this gaming community.
