I found an old spider body and a hooded goblin with a bat from my bits box and glued them together and boom its done. IDK if any kits contain spare spider bodies but there are lots of grots with fun sculpts which would look good stuck to a spider body

I was given an old spiderfang Grot Big Boss model so now my 800 point list (building up to 1000 and eventually 2000) is as follows: Grot Big Boss on spider: 100. 2X10 Spider riders:200 each so 400 total. Arachnarok with shaman: 280. im hoping to build on this with more riders and eventually a few more arachnaroks. Also I don’t know how allies work so when I do I’ll add some more magic or something. sound good? Btw me and my playing buddies have no battalions because no Battletomes so just warsxrolls and basic rules for me

I hate the new mystic shield it removes a load of combos and hurts destruction a lot in particular. I miss having 60 3+ save moonclan grots at range with as many fanatics as I can stuff in there.

Leadbelchers leadbelchers leadbelchers! They are fantastic models which shoot well from mid range and they can sit behind the bulls and iron guts and fire into whatever you need for as many turns as you need. Durable and effective. I’d go with them as soon as you can as they are just wonderful and thematic. Also maybe going for a big blob of moonclan grots or something for chaff instead of ogors may be cheaper idk and they’re definitely worse in combat and will get shredded by battleshock but they will look cool and can actually do a lot of damage with 40+ grots and possibly some buffs. I’d go moonclan for Battleline and chaff and they’re magic is cheap, then have leadbelchers tyrants and iron guts for elite and the ‘killy’ parts of the list. I’ve never used a butcher and don’t know what they’re like but having moonclan shamans never hurts (if u can fit it in idk how allies works rlly I just do whole faction lists)

Damn. So even if I buy another set of trolls that one is useless. Oh well I don’t like trolls much anyway. Much prefer giants or ogres.

I don’t have any gitmob but I have moonclan. Also I have a single troll which came in the old battle for skull pass set (I’m old ok) but I don’t know if I can actually use this as the trolls seem to come in units of 3 or more? Can I use the one and say it is 60 points (river trolls are 180 points for 3 so 180/3=60 I think). Thanks for the responses it’s very helpful. also how do allies work and where can I find a list of who allies with who. Is that in the new handbook or in the core book. I’m getting both in the next week btw

That’s a grim picture but thank you for your honesty. I just hope they get a major buff or something in the new edition. I’ll keep the save thing in mind when fielding them... if I ever play something other than moonclan or skink hordes

Hello all, I have the spider fang grot venom clan box and another 10 spider riders and I want to do a mainly spiderfang army, but I have a bit of all the old whfb orcs and goblins and ogors, but I only have some converted black orruks and megaboss for ironjawz and nothing for bonesplitterz and beastclaw. I was thinking of converting one spider rider into a big boss on spider as I don't like the finecast kit anyway and don't want to spend £15 on a crappy kit. For 800 points semi competitive games, would this be a viable combination of models? How can I bring this list of models into a fully functioning and semi competitive list? Btw the armies I play against the most are dark elves, mixed death without sacraments, non allied slaves to darkness and im about to face the old starter set with stormcast and bloodbound.

That's a really cool list I'd definitely use it but I have no bonesplitterz models. Would you suggest them to someone who is a fan of destruction and likes big models surrounded by hordes or elite infantry? I have boarboys, orruks and a chariot and warboss as well as a ton of old ogors, spiderfang and grots, so would bonesplitterz be a good ally choice for these?

Are ogors worth having a solo army or are they best as an allied detatchment eg bulls for soaking up wounds and doing good damage in melee or leadbelchers for rage? Is having all ogors then a bit of magic from grots viable? I love destruction and have a huge orcs and goblins and ogor army but I've been mainly using moonclan grots as they seem the most competitive. Are ogors competitive? Can they compete with death and stormcast etc? (Btw the ogors im referring to are bulls (don't know what they've been renamed to), leadbelchers, ironguts, a trapper model and a tyrant.) Any help is appreciated plus I think that this will start good conversations in this thread.
