where are you getting this "two years" nonsense? Beasts of Chaos and Skaven both got allegiance abilities in the GHB the same year their battletomes came out, like just a few months before.

It's called an exception buddy. GW has explicitly stated that these harbingers can be used in any army of their Grand Alliance and not count as an "ally". You can rules lawyer all you want, but GW made their intention perfectly clear that they wanted you to be able to use these guys in any army in your GA. BCR and the Shaman both share the "GA Destruction" keyword, so he can be included, but that doesn't mean he has to take the GA destruction allegiance, as he can still take his BCR allegiance without the Shaman getting in the way of things, since GW said they don't count as a traditional "ally".

So does anyone have an idea for a semi-decent 1k list? Just got a SC box on an impulse, and have 5 fenrisian wolves I’ll use as saberteeth. 1250 is also fine if 1k is too much

Isn’t it like this for the Lord Celestant though? On foot, on Dracoth, on Stardrake, with Gavriel and Vandus being named versions, and Gavriel even getting his own model with no generic equivalent?

Even though things don’t look great so far for Khorne this edition, I’m going in on an army anyways since my LGS has the old Slaughterstorm box for a great price. Do you think buying a Khorne Daemon SC box would supplement a Mortal List well, or should I just go full Mortals and pick up either the Bloodbound SC or the StD SC? Also, for my fellow Khornate, eBay is having a sale today only until 7pm PT, $15 off of a purchase of $75 or more, so if you need something for your army, today’s a good day to buy it
