Which scenario do you like best!?

And let us know why!
For me it's gotta be Relocation Orb. I get that's a bit of a crabshoot but it's always fun. It requires both anticipation and the ability to react. You need to be able to block, and you need to be able to move. In no other battleplan do I need so much time to decide going first or second.
I love it, never had a bad game with it that wasn't fun.

Path of the Changer
Changer posted a topic in Painting and Modelling,
To start with, a little background. I'm based in Manchester in the UK and I've been on these forums for a few months now, mainly as a lurker but also an occasional poster. I've recently moved house and have been itching to get back into painting - all of my stuff has been packed up for a couple of months now. The birth of my son last year really impacted the amount of time I had to paint; but I suppose that's what comes with fatherhood. I've decided to start this PLOG to give me an additional incentive to find time to paint - I'm a painter first with my hobby, and a gamer second. I've been to numerous Throne of Skulls tournaments held at Warhammer World, where my armies have been nominated for best painted twice and I've won the coveted award once. I'm a perfectionist, and I've been known to strip a model and start again just because I've not been able to get a blend right.
Anyway, enough of that rubbish.
My favourite Chaos god has always been Tzeentch; the magic, the mystery, and the fact that even in the face of losing game after game I know that it's all part of Tzeentchs' plan.
I've had Silver Tower since it was released - I love all of the models in that box and really wanted those to form the basis of my AoS force. I want my force to be striking, and draw the eye - basically, I'm aiming to paint an award winning force again. I've decided to start by painting the Gaunt Summoners (I have both the one on foot and on disc) and the familiars to get a feel for an overall colour scheme. From these, I'm starting with the familiars - basically because if I ****** them up I have replicas from the box. So without further ado, here's a completed Blot, and a WIP of Slop. Bases will be completed at a later date, once we have a better idea of how the realm of metal looks.
C&C is always welcome.

The Hag!
Eevika posted a blog entry in Troggherd from the swamps of Ghur,
I rarely do such detailed eyes and faces but when working on a model that is the centrepiece of your army you want to spend some extra time just to make it special. This is surely the best work I have ever done on a models face and I think there is just a lot of character and emotion on the model.
My smaller Troggoths are just green and blue but for this model I felt like it really needed another color to make it pop more so I asked some people what would be best and after many recommendations I decided to go for a nice bright orange and I think it really fits nicely. This picture also shows well the addition of mushrooms all over the model. Even though my Troggoth army is based on swamp themed bases with lots of water effects the mushrooms really tie it to my Grots and Squigs that are based on more rocky bases but with lots of mushrooms. The base on this model was definitely one of the most fun parts of the process of creating it.
Here we see a detail shot of the base with the small Free Guild soldier hiding from the lumbering Hag. I love the base I did here. The water effects came out nicely and the base that comes with the Hag looks really nice after I added all kinds of fun stuff like mushrooms and skulls to it.

The 5000+ Owners Club
Overread posted a topic in Age of Sigmar Discussions,
Some people have some really huge armies, 10K, 20K or rarely even more in points; and I think those armies are worth showing off. To show the dedication and fun people have had collecting a single army to such a vast size! So come one come all and lets show off and chat about these huge armies!

New Years Hobby Resolutions 2019
EccentricCircle posted a topic in Age of Sigmar Discussions,
2018 Successes:
Last year I had two main hobby resolutions, the first being to focus on building my scenery collection, and the second being to try to play the actual game a bit more regularly. My christmas battleforce was Kharadron Overlords, but I didn't end up expanding it into a full army. Instead I've mainly focused on collecting non GW figures to build up a set of crusades era Saracens who can be used for other games, or as an Araby style freeguild army.
I've done pretty well on the scenery front, expanding my random assortment of terrain into several fully painted sets themed around different terrains. Before all my battles were fought among a hodge podge of ruins and trees, but I now have a solid set of town houses, and jungle and desert themed boards, as well as the ability to make more crowded boards of ruins and forest.
On the second count I started a facebook group of all my warhammer loving friends and have been gradually getting a more regular (if not more frequent) set of gaming going. I've definitely played more games in as a result, though I've ended up playing a lot more 40K and frostgrave than age of sigmar. (Not that that's a bad thing...)
2019 plans:
So looking ahead to next year I need to continue building my local group, probably with some campaigns. I want to try to get more Lord of the Rings and AoS games in.
Getting more stuff painted is a boring new years resolution, as just about everyone will probably say that, but it kind of has to be on the list.
I think my main collecting project will be trying to get a second full 40K army together, along with a few Kill Teams for variety. That also means that I can keep my AoS focus on painting up the few thousand points of Elves i've got waiting. We'll see how that turns out... I may end up sitting here in 12 months time with twice as many grey elves and not a necron in sight!

Artefact + Hero Megathread
Rekmeister posted a topic in Age of Sigmar Discussions,
Here is my contribution:
Crypt Haunter Courtier + Rune Blade (Chamon)
A Crypt Haunter Courtier has a club that deals 3 damage, but has no rend.
A Crypt Haunter Courtier can re-roll failed hits while within 15" of any Abhorrent Ghoul King, a hero which is an auto-include in any FEC army.
A Rune Blade changes the rend characteristic of a given weapon to -3.
With the warscroll having an in-built way to re-roll hits, this makes for a very powerful combination. A rend of -3 reduces a 4+ to absolutely nothing, making it entirely possible to kill heroes in one round of combat, something that the vanilla warscroll cannot do with any consistency.
The army also has ways to allow the Courtier to re-roll wound rolls if playing alongside an Abhorrent Ghoul King on Zombie Dragon, which makes this artefact + hero even nastier.
I hope this thread proves to be useful, and I am excited to see what other interactions the good people of this sub have discovered.

Covering The Expanding Costs Of TGA
Ben posted a topic in Age of Sigmar Discussions,
Back in feb (see below for original post) I gave a shout out for help to this amazing community which ultimately resulted in me being told the many varied and wonderful ways that you would all like to support the site.
The gist of this is that the site is getting very expensive to run (I’ve paid out over £3000 in the last 12 months) and as the community grows the costs are ever increasing.
I previously wrote about this in detail so I won’t go into it all again, but the response was just amazing!
Its taken me another 6+ months to get around to it, but over the next few weeks I will be introducing a 3 ways that will help cover the running costs of TGA.
I’ll talk here about how we will be doing this, and why I have chosen each of them.
