The Chaneling and weapon abilities

The Changeling can attack an enemy whit it's own weapon in melee (using it's profile). Does this use that weapon's abilities? Like outrageous carnage?

My interpretation is that it depends on wording, if the weapon specifies the owner (e.g. if Archaon rolls 2 sixes with The Slayer of Kings...), then no, if not then yes.

How do you guys play this?

It says the weapons profile, id count any effects it does as part of that profile due to the fact some weapons refer you to damage tables and rules.

I play it as the awnser I upvoted. In this case it specifcially refers to profile, so you attack with specifically profile. The game also has examples where you just make a complete attack and that would use more as just a single profile. 

In this case it means you look at all the profiles that are relevant. As in certain cases attacks become weaker as the model is damaged.
