Morning all,

Just a quick thanks to everyone who attended, helped and sponsored this past weekend. I think it went really well and was an awesome weekend. Great way to spend my birthday. You can check the Twitter hashtag #TomorrowBurns for plenty of photos and live footage from the event.

I guess feedback wise a lot of it would've been shared in the WhatsApp group, so this thread is more for other people to see the winners etc!

For now I'll list the winners, later this evening I'll add the full standings and in due course the lists will be made available through @Ben's list archive at Bad Dice. Sorry for keeping it all a bit brief, got a busy busy day back at work today!

  • 2 weeks later...

Ha!

Well I enjoyed it. Maybe painting and sports points were a bit high, but maybe that's just me being bitter that I finished lower than I'd have liked with 3 major wins. I knew I wouldn't get a painting nod,  and I blame taking Bonesplitterz on no sports votes ?

The extra tables from what was at Rain of Stars made no difference to the comfort in the hall, had no issues with space at all.

Food was excellent as ever, I should have tried the curry sauce, maybe next time.

Bowling was good fun, although the 2nd game was a less enjoyable, but that's probably just a result of a leaving he house at 6am to get to Weymouth and playing games all day, as well as trying to stop Sam Davies talking to all the (too) young girls in Maccy D's

All in all another great event Chris, looking forward to Blackout and what ever you serve up next after that

Great event @Chris Tomlin extra tables worked (compared to New Dawn) and I actually think the numbers increase made the event even better! The food que wasn't excessive the noise levels fine overall I'd probably like to see you do this at around the 50 mark each year I think if it's viable for you to do so.

Food awesome as always (special thanks to those that served the hangry gamers :-)

scoring system was very very good (quite possibly the best I've played under AoS system..) my opinions changed at blood & glory towards mixed scores and I think your pack took it to a new level, the actual difference becaus of sports between me and Jimbob for example is 8TPs so not massive. That said I would like to maybe have had the opportunity to give a top 3 or even a 5/4/3/2/1 TP for sport system might work? This would reward consistency better I think.

Painting, I like the scoring for this and the way it rewards great hobbyists, I don't think I'll ever achieve a nomination as my painting is not good enough (I'm cool with this btw i can't be good at everything in my life ;-) but I'd never want this removed because the long term benefits to taking AoS in this direction is positive and GW themselves do this at their own events. Good job!

I may have to miss blackout sadly due to family commitments but I will be at New Dawn 3/Tomorrow Burns 2 next year 100% if I get in!
