Chris Tomlin
Afternoon Doggers! I was looking at the rankings (http://www.baddice.co.uk/rankings) this afternoon and thought it might be fun to keep track of how the dirty doggers and associates were doing over the year. I'll update this after each tournament, purely for fun/bragging rights. If someone has brackets after their name it's because they haven't done 4 events yet (if you don't know, the top 4 placings make up your score). Hopefully Top Dogger @Paul Buckler approves! 8 - Ricky Mee 17 - Chris Tomlin 23 - Matt Lyons 24 - Andy Talbot 25 - Paul Buckler 55 - Matt Clarke 68 - Gary Hennessey (3) 75 - Dominic Hook (3) 78 - Ben Diesel 115 - Laurie Huggett-Wilde (3) 122 - Aaron Bailey (3) 182 - Tom Hutchings (1) 191 - Amy Clarke (1) 292 - James Eveleigh (2) 299 - David Fulbrook (1) 326 - Steve Phillips (2) 396 - Jenny Lyons (1) 402 - Tom Hewitt (2) 414 - Will Philpott (1) Hopefully I've caught everyone? Current there are 448 ranked players with scores. When I update in the future I'll note players previous positions so we can see who is going up, and who's going down! The scores cycle out on a yearly basis. Enjoy! Chris

It's a pretty worthless (but fun) exercise in general, but especially for the people with less than 4 scoring events. Obviously if anyone wants me to remove their name from the list, just let me know. @ChippyRick I understand if you'd rather be removed Also need to check with @Andy Talbot and @The Lost Lighthouse (Gary) about ranking Partners in Chaos. Chris Tomlin
Afternoon doggers! Here we are with the first proper update after Partners in Chaos, Warchiefs Warpath II and Tomorrow Burns have been added. Green denotes an improved position, red a decline!! These positions are done from the regular rankings and not "Masters Mode" (we may switch to that later in year as it becomes more relevant). 7 - Ricky Mee15 - Matt Lyons --------------------------------------------------------19 - Chris Tomlin - Best in Race; Ironjawz26 - Andy Talbot38 - Paul Buckler53 - Matt Clarke56 - Dominic Hook58 - Laurie Huggett-Wilde74 - Aaron Bailey 77 - Gary Hennessey (3)82 - Tom Hutchings (3)83 - Ben Diesel 119 - Adam Petford (3) 124 - Richard Morley - Best in Race; Soulblight129 - Amy Clarke (2) 156 - Wayne Holt (2)162 - Steven Phillips 179 - Mike Wilson (2) 184 - James Eveleigh 202 - Jenny Lyons (3)207 - David Fulbrook (2)250 - Tom Hewitt (3)251 - Will Philpott (3) 262 - Jan Proudley (1) 332 - Richard Buckler (1) To reiterate, just for fun and bantz etc! Paul Buckler
I'd take a top 10 finish right now, there are gonna be some guys really fighting it out this year I think. Maybe we have our own club 'Masters' top 8 play off at the end of the year.

Still have GW Heat 2 to go in which will effect a few of you. Remember Green denotes an improved position, red a decline!! These positions are done from the regular rankings and not "Masters Mode". It's starting to look a bit more interesting now that most of the regular players have at least 4 scores; 6 - Ricky Mee16 - Matt Lyons --------------------------------------------------------25 - Chris Tomlin - Best in Faction; Ironjawz28 - Andy Talbot36 - Tom Hutchings - Best in Faction; Order40 - Paul Buckler42 - Laurie Huggett-Wilde - Best in Faction; Sylvaneth54 - Matt Clarke64 - Dominic Hook68 - Gary Hennessey71 - Aaron Bailey 85 - Ben Diesel96 - Mike Wilson (3)118 - Adam Petford133 - Richard Morley - Best in Faction; Soulblight138 - Amy Clarke (2)139 - Steven Phillips165 - Wayne Holt (2)186 - Jenny Lyons195 - James Eveleigh221 - David Fulbrook (2)237 - Tom Hewitt271 - Will Philpott (3)281 - Jan Proudley (1) 313 - Paul Petford (1)361 - Richard Buckler (1) Not bad going, well done to @Lhw and @Tom Hutchings for picking up Best in Faction icons! Do you think I should update the first post to always include the most recent version as well? Chris
ChippyRick
Just lost out on best in Death icon in the normal mode (tbf @Countmoore is the master of Death). I recon there will be quite a few changes across the next 6 months as well.
Chris Tomlin
Yeh @ChippyRick, taking Best Death off @Countmoore will not be easy! Something to target though? I really like @Paul Buckler's idea. I would propose straight knockouts, so; 1 vs 8 3 vs 6 4 vs 5 2 vs 7 Then the winners of each game play off in the brackets listed. Basically like the last rounds of a World Cup or Euros etc. I'm happy to arrange it come the end of year.
Paul Buckler
Sounds good to me, thats 3 games max total for the finalists then, could do that in a day.
Chris Tomlin
@Paul Buckler - Yeh definitely. If we wanted to be slightly more inclusive we could extend to a seeded to top 16 knockout over a few weeks...but then that's probably worse in a way as just a few people would miss out if that makes sense. So maybe just 8 is best. Booking out a full day for it would be the way to go in that case, schedule it like a tournament day. People who get knocked out can pair off and still get games in. Paul Buckler
Potentially we could Do top 10 with top 6 auto, and next 4 playing off. But think that just overcomplicates it. Straight top 8, those knocked out can play off to give us a final ranking of top 8 ageofblackdoggers.
Chris Tomlin
@Paul Buckler - Yeh having given it more thought, I reckon Top 8, straight knock-out play is the way to go. Exciting! I'll get a shield made that can have the winners name engraved on it each year or something. Who will earn the prestigious title of Dogmaster for the first time ever?! Paul Buckler
Heat 2 Results up. Chris Tomlin
Morning guys, Time for a bit of an update to see how we are all doing now that a few Tournaments have gone in. I'm keeping this to "Past Year" results as opposed to a particular season. When we come around to Masters (and indeed the more prestigious inaugural Dogger Masters), things will sit right anyway as all the previous years results will have dropped. Still, it is fun to toggle the season as you do get some big movement at the top, different icons etc, so definitely worth having a look yourselves (http://www.rankings.baddice.co.uk/) Let's have a look then.... 7 - Ricky Mee -------------------------------------------------------- 18 - Matt Lyons 22 - Tom Hutchings - Best in Faction; Order 29 - Chris Tomlin - Best in Faction; Ironjawz32 - Andy Talbot34 - Laurie Huggett-Wilde - Best in Faction; Sylvaneth37 - Paul Buckler - Best in Faction; Kharadron Overlords54 - Matt Clarke62 - Mike Wilson------------------------------------------------------------64 - Dominic Hook72 - Gary Hennessey75 - Aaron Bailey83 - Ben Diesel101 - Adam Petford131 - Richard Morley - Best in Faction; Soulblight157 - Amy Clarke (2)160 - Steven Phillips170 - Richard Buckler (2)194 - Wayne Holt (2)199 - James Eveleigh222 - Jenny Lyons227 - Will Philpott 238 - Paul Petford (2)244 - Tom Hewitt256 - David Fulbrook (2)320 - Jan Proudley (1) 593 - Tom Proudley (the spare player lovechild of Tom Hutchings and Jan Proudley...a Super Saiyan fusion this was not!! ) I've added the new purple line to the rankings. Everyone above this are in the Dorset Dogger Masters spots. I will be running, not playing, so whilst I accompany a top 8 place, I will include the top 9 overall if that makes sense. Again, this is just current year on year, so before the cut off there will be plenty more scores to drop off and indeed go on. Exciting. All just a good bit of fun remember!! Well done for all the great results of late guys, the club is going from strength to strength!! Chris
Paul Buckler
So a few updates, as we have had a couple more events. Laurie had agreat result at heat 3, and Chris and Aaron scored well at Brothers of Sigmar. 9 - Ricky Mee --------------------------------------------------------18 - Laurie Huggett-Wilde - Best in Faction; Sylvaneth22 - Matt Lyons27 - Chris Tomlin - Best in Faction; Ironjawz29 - Tom Hutchings - Best in Faction; Order35 - Paul Buckler39 - Andy Talbot63 - Aaron Bailey68 - Matt Clarke ------------------------------------------------------------76 - Mike Wilson77 - Dominic Hook92 - Ben Diesel111 - Adam Petford116 - Gary Hennessey128 - Richard Morley - Best in Faction; Soulblight158 - Steven Phillips173 - Amy Clarke (2)186 - Richard Buckler (2)200 - Tom Hewitt206 - James Eveleigh214 - Wayne Holt (2)245 - Jenny Lyons252 - Will Philpott263 - Paul Petford (2)457 - David Fulbrook (2)367 - Jan Proudley (1)665 - Tom Proudley(1)
Forestreveries
Looks like this is going to be the final standings for Doggers Masters then; 11 - Ricky Mee 13 - Laurie Huggett-Wilde 21 - Tom Hutchings 24 - Matt Lyons 25 - Chris Tomlin 27 - Mike Wilson 31 - Andy Talbot 33 - Paul Buckler ---------- 39 - Aaron Bailey 77 - Ben Diesel 81 - Matt Arnold 97 - Dominic Hook 107 - Richard Morley 109 - Matt Clarke (3) 110 - Adam Petford 141 - Gary Hennessey 142 - James Eveleigh 149 - Jan Proudley (2) 154 - Steve Phillips 183 - Richard Buckler (2) 188 - Jenny Lyons 190 - William Philpott 195 - Tom Hewitt 208 - Wayne Holt (2) 252 - Paul Petford (2) 360 - Amy Clarke (1) 422 - Dave Fulbrook (1) 435 - Matt Bennett (1) Lots of decent results there; well done all x
Sheriff
Stato-tip: ELO scores could be calculated for this. They are a great standardized way of measuring competitive 1v1 attainment over time / many games. They can be used for when cross-over occurs between leagues for example. Not really simple to get off the ground for AOS, but I foresee great potential for it in the future when more data integration becomes easier. Just thinking out loud! Great to see a league rather than tournaments and knock-out cups all the time (If I still lived on the island I'd defo join this league )
Chris Tomlin
@Forestreveries - Cheers for that, horrendous formatting though haha!! I've reduced the size of the font. It looks about right though. I've previously stated I will be running and not playing this, so you would be the 8th man. I will be in discussions with @Paul Buckler soon to fix a date. I'll then decide the format and pack before issuing invites.
Paul Buckler
Really impresed with us having 9 out of top 40 players, with only a couple of events left in the calendar. Looking forward to seeing what eveyone brings to the table for the clash of the titans! Undecided if I stick to my off the wall lists of the year, or take something harder.
