The +1 buff of the Bloodsecrator immediately ends, if he dies? Or do I get the buff until my next hero phase?

Almost - the rules actually specify the start of the combat phase. So even if the bloodsecrator dies, effect will last until the end of the combat phase. Hero phase has nothing to do with it?

I would say it is lost as soon as he dies as he isn't on the table to measure the 18" distance.

Yes, so unless the Bloodsecrator dies from something in a phase earlier then the ability still works in the combat phase. Part of the Battleshock Test only works if he is alive at that start of the phase as well.

Yup - this also has the benefit of allowing you to move out of the 18" with your pile-in (though you'd then lose the buff next turn).
