D3 damge against save dmg 1

So I recently found out you do roll D3 damage after save roll. Then how do I do with Clan Rats?

They have save +1 against 1 dmg so if I roll D3 damage and get 1 damage do I reroll save roll?

Literally got answered about 5 threads down... You don't get it. It's "with" damage 1 I.e. on the profile, not "causes" damage 1.

The Clanrats' Clanshield ability is only for attacks with a damage characteristic of 1. For instance, both of the Clanrats' attacks have damage = 1. Staying within Clan Verminus, the Skaven Warlord has two weapons with damage = 1 (so the Clanshield would have its effect for the War Halberd and Barbed Blade attacks) and one weapon with damage D3 (so the Clanshield is useless against the Warpforged Blade). 

Saves are all squared away before damage is rolled. It doesn't matter if you roll a 1, 2, or 3 when determining the Blade's damage for each strike -- the Clanshield is not useful against that weapon.
