L.Bromley
Hey Guys, How competitive can a deathlords force be, whilst on paper it looks pretty good I fear reality is that it sucks an will just look cool. Arkhan Neferata 4 x Archai 2 x Harbingers 2 x Harbingers 260 points for summoning
TerrorPenguin
I've been thinking about Arkhan 4 x Archai 2 x Archai 2 x Archai 700 points for summoning then skeletons for objectives, harbingers for alpha strike, cairn wraiths for 3pp, spirit hosts to tank ignoring rend, you would get a mourngul on a 6 up with Arkhan if he hasn't taken wounds and was near the Archai. But it's very vulnerable - if they get first turn and shoot off Arkhan you've lost.
CoffeeGrunt
You will struggle to win any objective games. For example, Take and Hold requires a minimum of five models to hold an objective, making it nigh-on impossible to cap one. You'll also struggle against horde armies. Not with a 700 Point Reinforcement pool; you can literally summon what you want and in Large Numbers due to Arkhan's +to Summoning Big units of Skellies and fast units of Hexwraiths can be really good and tactically flexible. The Problem is the rule of 1. I think the ideal pool sits at around 500ish points but I think you can legit compete maybe not Top Tier but they can do some work. CoffeeGrunt
Ah, I thought you meant running a pure Deathlords list, i.e., only drawing options from Deathlords.
Mamble94
Youd need to be careful with arkhan though, if the opponent grabs first turn and has decent range or good alpha strike options. Arkhan and as a result the game could be killed off very quickly...
CoffeeGrunt
Oh yeah, a good alpha strike on Arkhan will utterly cripple your list in one, fell swoop.
