StokieRich Posted April 26, 2017 Share Posted April 26, 2017 Bit of a latecomer to this one but I've started my Tzeentch arcanites last month and I'm doing similar so hoping I could pitch in here, there's some great stuff on here already and hoping to jump on the bandwagon after spending most of the last year or so playing Imperial Assault! So far all I've completed is my Magister but I've assembled the rest up to 1k, I'm also almost there with my first unit of 10 acolytes. My full 1k is based on the Alter Kin Coven as I'm basing my guys on the "Transient Form" formation eventually and is: Magister (Since changed this for the Shaman) Ogroid 10 Acolytes 20 Tzaangor 3 Skyfire I didn't expect it to be particularly competitive but it's doing well so far! Really enjoying painting some decent figures again as well, I love my Star Wars and it's a great game but the figures have got nothing on GW Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My progress has been non-existant in recent months, but seeing how the rest of you are getting on is making me want to get stuck back in, especially now our new Overlords have arrived. So I am in as well, the sky stunties are here. Now that the Kharadron Overlords are out I can get to work. I do not know how quickly the progress will be, what with life and all but I am itching to get these guys ready for the tabletop. The list I am starting with is largely dictated by what has been released at this point. It actually looks a lot like what some others are working on in other threads in here. There are a couple units in here that do not come out for a few more weeks. I guess that just means I won't be starting with those. Arkanaut Admiral (140) 10 Arkanauts w/ 3 light sky hooks (120) 10 Arkanauts w/ 3 aethermatic volley guns (120) 10 Arkanauts w/ 3 skypikes (120) Frigate w/ heavy sky cannon (280) 3 Skywardens w/ drill cannon (100) 3 Skywardens w/ drill cannon (100) Total : 980 That is the starting point. The Skywardens might change around a bit. I may trade 1 unit for Endrinriggers which would even out the points to 1000 which is a much prettier number. I do like the look of the Skywarden weapons a lot more, spears are much more impressive than the power tools. I might also gonfor the volleyguns on either or both units. I've been an AoS fan since it came out, as I thought it had some great potential and I sure wasn't wrong. Anyway, back in November I planned a 1,000pt army to slowly build and use in games, both Vanguard tournaments and friendly games. Below is a picture of the completed spectacle, Ghazrik 'Eadchoppa's Black Toof Warband. It has served me well in a mini day-long tournament I attended at the local club, coming second out of twenty. Now I finally have some progress, even if it's 5 months late Painted up 50 skaven in the last month. They're not great, but they did get painted. Just some many models! Which leads to my current status. It's now mostly painted! Doomwheel and Rat ogres are nice, clanrats and stormvermin aren't... Oh well. I plan to fix them up eventually, I just wanted to get them painted! It took forever to get this far. And the last model I've painted. Nice proper paintjob on this guy. Really enjoy painting Skaven, when there aren't 60 models to do! Wonderful model, really full of personality. Who else has more updates. Show the world, people! So don't worry if there's more to do on them, steady progress will get you there before you know it (or if you choose to go after something else next all the better, they'll still be there to come back to!), and once they're done they're done. I was kind of scared painting the Mortis Engine (did it last) but taking it slow and try being neat seems to have worked out ok. Not happy with the Mourngul so I'm gonna repaint it. Too heavy on the wash ruined the etheral effect. 1 x Necromancer 1 x Wight King Baleful 30 x Skeletons 5 x Hexwraiths 6 x Spirit Hosts 1 x Mortis Engine 1 x Mourngul Actually adds up to 1460pts mostly because of the Mourngul. Sorry about the low quality. Will take some better photos soon and put the pics in a plog with my future projects.
