Soulsmith
Everyone's doing a cracking job! I am getting really bored of my greenskins, need to change things up and take a break but got to finish things up first.
Kramer
Even though I painted 56! models this year I finished not one for my 1K army goal. Until now! I'm very happy to introduce to you the leader of my merry Slaanesh Spartan themed army. I'm trying my hand at writing a bit of fluff for everything as well, you can find it here: http://www.tga.community/forums/topic/8316-spartan-slaanesh-a-narrative-plog/ Still struggling with larger surfaces of metal and small details but it's getting there. On to the first units 10 warriors and 20 daemonettes.
RuneBrush
Blimey, nothing posted since Tuesday! Managed to get a good shift on over the weekend and have got my Blood Warriors to the point where they need their bases finished, matt varnishing and then blood effects. Really happy and a turn around of just over 3 weeks on and off. It has reminded me that the edge highlighting on these models is insane, each model taking about an hour for the brass banding alone. The following pics were taken before they received a gloss varnish and texture paint This takes the my total painted army up to 1580 points worth! I'm probably going to have a little break on the painting until the new Battletome comes out - will take the time to magnetise the bases for all the army. The current plan is two more units of Wrathmongers - but you never know if the new tome will change things
spidero
Looking good @RuneBrush. I love that flesh effect on the glaive. The first models I started painting when I got back into the hobby last year were the 5 blood warriors from the starter box. I have one that I finished doing all the edge highlighting on the brass, could never bring myself to do the other 4, too painful. One of these days maybe when the massive pile of other things I've bought since are done I'll go back and finish the other 4. Been a quiet couple of weeks painting wise for me, but I did manage to get a chaos lord converted from the Mighty Lord of Khorne. Just got a little greenstuffing to do then he'll be ready to go to paint. Hoping to get a decent painting shift in this weekend, with any luck I'll get at least one slaves to darkness unit done before they all get shelved for stunty sky pirates. Lardidar
Good evening folks, just had a look through what I have been missing and everyone is doing great work! I have managed to paint up a lord of Khorne, a Bloodsecrator and my first ten reavers. I hated the lord model so I binned him and used a deathbringer in his place. The reavers were relatively easy to paint up but I'm still not overly pleased with the flesh...going to mix in some other tones with the next ten. Also going to chuck a picture of a hill I made from a skull mug I found in a charity shop...very happy with it.

DynamicCalories
WIP chaos knights and Epidemus Not really happy with most of it but, especially the horse skin and rough hourglass job but they'll do as I am abandoning Chaos for Sky dwarves soon enough. RuneBrush
And I've got the Blood Warriors finished! Just under a month's worth of work all told, but wasn't as "full on" as I've done stuff in the past. Just realised I've a couple of tiny details to finish off on the Slaughterpriests, but they're sorted too: And finally, I magnetised the bases of every model I've got painted (apart from the Bloodsecrator), which comes out at 1580 points in total! Just need the new Battletome to drop so I know what to do to get it up to the 2k mark... Think I may have to go onto a second baking sheet though
Stealth_Hobo
Oh yeah, I'm in! I bought AoS starter set and my plans are to build 1k armies of both Stormcast and Khorne and some scenery when I've finished with most of this stuff. I just finished my first group of Blood Warriors and as someone who has just recently come back to the hobby, man, have I missed painting.
spidero
Finally managed to get a couple of decent painting sessions in over the weekend. Hopefully by the end of the week will have a unit for Chaos warriors to post. Also managed to finish off my converted Chaos Lord. Was my first time working with green stuff, but pretty pleased with the result. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
Darth Alec
You guys just keep trucking! Congrats to you guys who have finished a 1k army so far. Really impressive! I've been so busy I haven't painted anything 1k-related in a while Though once SCGT is over, I've pledged to finish the Skaven for Coalescence. Will try to get to tabletop with the rest of the force first, then go back and up the standard once its done.
Skrekkugle
Finished my 30 skellies so progress now looks like this: 1 x Necromancer (wip) 1 x Wight King Baleful (wip) 30 x Skeletons (Done) 5 x Hexwraiths (Done) 6 x Spirit Hosts (3 Done) 1 x Mortis Engine 1 x Mourngul So it's actually just the cool stuff left. Can't wait to get started! ****** flash photo taken on cellphone:

Lardidar
What on earth are we doing on page 3!! let's get it back on top. So I have finished my first 1k...my camera is doing something a bit odd so the pictures are not quite up to standard but I think I'll just have to live with it for now. So I finished up another Khorgorath that finishes up my unit of three. Also finished 20 Bloodreavers...not fun to do and I'm not thrilled with them but I'm moving on. And that's it...1k done, well it would have been if the new book hadn't come out and made it 1040 points but oh well..it's all part of a bigger 2k army so will balance in the next half. I just wanted to say a big thank you, this is the first time I have painted an army in over a decade and probably my first miniatures in 5 or 6 years...you all kept me mega motivated and there is some truly inspiring work in this thread. So next for me is another 1k of Khorne but with Daemon prince, Bloodletters and all lead by Valkia the bloody, coming soon!
