 EVENT FORMAT

We will be playing 3 rounds during the day.

First round will be random pairings with Round 2 and 3 being Swiss.

The event will be playing at the Battlehost level for 2.5 hour long games

 ARMY SELECTION

Each entrant will be able to submit 2 army lists from the same Grand Alliance, these lists can be the same if you wish

Players will create their army lists using the Match Play system from the General’s Handbook, any warscroll which has official points from Games Workshop can be used (including Forgeworld). Players must select all Warscrolls from the same grand alliance.

There is no requirement to pre-submit your lists but the organisers will require a copy of each at registration

Before starting your game you should hand your opponent both of your lists and allow about 5 minutes to look at them and discuss any rules or ask any questions. Then each player will select which list they will use and place face down on the table, once both lists have been selected the players will reveal and then commence the pre game sequence (this means sides/terrain etc won’t be known, only what scenario is being played)

 WINNING YOUR GAMES

We will be using a Win/Loss/Draw method to determine the winner. Each Battleplan will tell you how to determine the winner for each game. Your result will earn you an amount of Tournament points based in the result.

30 TP’s: Winning your Game

 15TP’s: Drawing your Game

 5 TP’s:  Losing your Game

 SPORTSMANSHIP

Every player will receive 30 Tournament points for Sportsmanship at the beginning of the event. These events are meant to be fun and we hope you all treat them as such!

At the end of a game if you feel your opponent has been particularly unsporting you can approach a Ref or Organiser and explain what has occurred.

You may report the game as an 'Unsporting game'. A player will lose 15 Tournament points if the receive 2 reports and lose all Sportsmanship points if they receive 3 reports.

At the end of the Event you'll be asked to vote for your Most Sporting Opponent.

 PAINTING

There is no painting requirement for this event as it’s partly a practice/warm-up event.

There is however a Best Army award and at the end of the Event you'll be asked to vote for you favorite (painting/conversions.theme etc).

 WORKING OUT WHO HAS WON

At the end of the three games each player will have a score of up to 120 Tournament points from Gaming and Sportsmanship. Highest points ranks highest!

I'm going to bring 2 armies. A soft army (stopped calling them 'fluffy 'cos everyone shouts at me when I say 'Fluffy Beastclaw') and a more competitive army. Then I'll decide on the spur of the moment depending what everyone else brings, on which one to use for the day. I would like to use the softer army as it contains models I don't normally get to use, but don't want my opponents to just roll over me and make it a short pointless game for them.

Mind you if Tony is going to be as hung over and jet lagged as he reckons then it might not matter :-)
