Control of Objectives

Oldshrimpeyes

Question

My friend and I feel like the statement on objectives could be open to interpretation. I have attached a picture of the statement in the core rules and the troublesome line is:

"It remains under your control until the enemy is able to gain control of it".

My friend feels it could be interpreted to mean that once you gain control of an objective, you remain in control even if you move models away from it on a subsequent turn. Essentially you tag an objective as yours and it needs to be captured to stop being yours.

I disagree and feel that if you move models away from an objective you control you stop controlling it and it returns to it's neutral state. To maintain control of an objective you need to keep units on it to hold it. But this does make the last line seem like a needless clarification.

Who's right? Is this just poor wording on GWs part or can you really go round tagging objectives without leaving a holding force behind?
