cannymalavera
Actually made some decent progress this month! Goal to assemble Paladors and Stonehorn, all undercoated too. Also started my stretch goal (which I will definitely just carry over to next month) of painting lord of Khorne. Planning on doing the hound with pale albino type skin to try and show it's a bit special Vs normal hound.

So I pushed quite hard with these guys but didn't quite make it (travelling from tomorrow so time's up for me this month) - still have some minor details, weapons, various highlights and the bases to go. Happy with what I managed to get done but disappointed not to have fully finished. Good thing it's just a hobby! ?
Kramer
Okay this month is sadly quite typical, haha. First I went: On 4/30/2018 at 2:01 PM, Kramer said: After two tries i’m not even putting my Cauldron down as a goal ? only stretch goals: finish steelheart and homies & build and paint the cauldrons passengers stretch: details on cauldron + OSL on cauldron + magnitized mirror Then me being me went: On 5/2/2018 at 9:17 AM, Kramer said: Haha I suck at this contract thing. After pledging the Cauldron for two months and not finishing it to this day. Within 24hrs of setting this goal a mate asked for a game on thursday night. So last night I: build 7 Sisters of Slaughter, 2 Witch Aelfs, prepped the conversions of 5 seekers to Warlocks. I not only have all the Sisters and Witches primed but did all the clothing, weapons and most of the details on the first 5 models only leaving the hair and skin to be done on them. (i'm going mixed Aelfs & Daemonettes, started that way before the new book hit and I just read around that whole Morathi hates Slaanesh bit ?) So short term pledge is to finish all the Sisters and Witches and either an already primed Medusa or the 5 seekers to a tabletop standard and do all the details in the rest of the month.... but who am I kidding I'll probably switch that up as well So true to myself... On 5/9/2018 at 12:14 AM, Kramer said: It happened again! ?because of a path to glory mini campaign I felt the need to build a custom Lord with ‘upgrade’ options on the side. So nothing to do with the original planning but at least it’s something done So long story short, I did a lot of rough work on this and it's all close to done just needing details: Annoying how little work some of those need. But due to path to glory and some weird rolling I ended up with: My lord Krrt, the almost Queek, who dies alot. And I mean a lot hahaha. Best thing is i'm genuinely getting close to finishing all my backlog on the Skaven side! (just did a quick count: one of each weapon team, Old skool Thanquol and boneripper, 9 clanrats, 2 giant rats, a rat ogor, 9 clanrats and 40 clanrats but I can't find the weapon arms for the life of me.) valenswift
Valenturnos - General and Akhelian King Lucien - Soulrender Still not totally happy with the water and will probably re do it soon. I plan on using the Volturnus rules for my general but didn't like the head for him so did a bit of a conversion as I still wanted the sword. Tzaangor Management
I managed to get my Longstrikes finished just before the deadline and even snuck in a cheeky Shadespire Skaven pawn (Hungering Skaven I think... have tucked the cards away somewhere...). Couldn't take a decent picture of this guy straight on for some reason, but my main aim was to try out doing armour shipping with a sponge rather than a brush and I do quite like the effect. Love these little guys and I think I could very easily be persuaded to make a Skaven army if the next edition holds anything nice for them. Praecautus
So I made my pledge - chaos shrine and 10 reavers (which means I have competed the Hammerhal box) Need to finish bases on them but pretty pleased with getting them done. Now onwards to June! My son painted a balewind for his Seraphon army
TheOtherJosh
Okay, final stretch! Magore’s Fiends have been built and primed and they may currently get completed tomorrow! (Progress Pics coming tomorrow.) I completed a Skaven packmaster and 10 Giant Rats for WHQ Built 8 blue Horrors (to join the other painted 4) And built Ironskulls Boys for Shadespire (to replace the Doomseeker) I am also working on a Bloodsecrator and Khorgorath ... they’re not done and will end up getting shuffled to next month. I showed up at my first game and learnt that I needed a fully painted and based army to compete further. So that's my incentive! I have a 2000 skaven Skryre army composed of: 1 arch warlock 2 warlock engineers 3*5 acolytes 8 mortar weapon teams 2 warp lightning cannons 20 clanrats 20 giant rats 2 plague priests In the past few weeks I have painted the warlocks, the arch warlock, one cannon, one plague priest, 3 mortars and the 20 clanrats. I still have to paint: 20 giant rats, 15 acolytes, one priest, one cannon and 5 mortars (already primed). And base the whole army. So that's my pledge for the month I've had some help so far because my 3-year old daughter shaded all the clanrats. She absolutely loved the responsibility and the focus! I don't mind some heavy agrax on my rats so I thought that could have been a great family time. And it was. I'm going to let her shade the 20 giant rats and 15 acolytes OK, I didn't manage to finish all my pledge. I've finished (painted and based): 1 arch warlock, 2 warlock engineers, 1 warp lightning cannon, 13 clanrats, 2 plague priests: Here's what's left to finish (various states): To be continued Note: I'll post the fluff of my clan soon, but as I hope you noticed, they leave in fields! It was supposed to be black corn, but I couldn't find a way to model it so it became black wheat!

Only a few more things to do on him. Progress picks for you all to prove it!

It's looking like: Paint 5 ungor raiders Paint 4 kairic acolytes Paint one hero for Silver Tower, I've got the Warpriest, Knight-Questor (converted to a Lord of Slaanesh, but still...) and both elves left. Stretch goals: Paint more ST heroes Assemble, base and prime 10 gors Assemble, base and prime 10 bestigors Welp, this failed. Hit a hobby slump after I finished the ungors for various reasons (ran out of audiobooks, started working on an RPG-related project and playing a new video game, left little time for painting). The Acolytes are WIP, though. Not going to set goals for June and just ease myself into it, finish the Acolytes and just see what I feel like painting after that. Make sure you put up your pics of your Acolytes in the June thread if you’d like, it’s always good to see folks WiP. But, Sometimes taking a break is good. Tyler had a great article on his blog talking about hobby burnout this last week: We’ve got you a spot saved at the painting table when you have the urge to paint. I have several options for switching it up after the acolytes (I might post some pics of them in the WIP Wednesday thread later), be it Banner Saga Warbands board game minis, Battlefleet Gothic ships (still need to finish my Tau and Chaos fleets) or that high elf griffon I've been looking forward to painting for a while now... I want to get the drakespawn painted, and complete the 5 knights from a unit that I already have the drakespawn finished from. Stretch: get all the knights done. Optional (ie I need a break from lizards): Lokhir Fellheart or Sorceress on a Drakespawn. Failed pretty miserably. Didn't finish any knights, and have the spines, claws, teeth, metals, straps, eyes, tongues and some highlights of the lower flesh to complete since my last post. Not a million miles off, but not done nonetheless! However, I did get a load of aelves from @Bosmer Nightbladeand went about re-basing quite a lot of models: I re-based 2 dragons, 2 hydra, 2 sorceresses, Lokhir Fellheart, 5 assassins, a Dreadlord (including magnetising so he can be used as just a lordling in a spears unit) and the Sorceress on a Drakespawn. Just 25 knights (10 new), a chariot, 2 bolt throwers and 10 spears to re-base lol. And also, my son painted the majority of his first model, a Liberator. I did the tidy up and details yesterday, maybe 10 mins work on my behalf:
